Dương Đông Hotel in Phu Quoc Island

The worst hotel of the six we stayed at in Phu Quoc.
It's located in a nook at the end of a street near a mountain. I barely made it by car. Especially if someone's driving towards me, you have to reverse. It's in my grandmother's garden at her dacha.
The photos don't do it justice; they were taken about 10 years ago, and even then, from the perfect angle. I booked for three nights upfront. If I hadn't paid, I wouldn't have stayed. I couldn't bring myself to go into the pool. Five mangy dogs were running around, drinking from the pool, and there was STINKY dog food underfoot. Chickens were walking around.
I booked a room with a kitchenette. The kitchenette only had a sink and a kettle. What's the point of having one then? The door to the room and the bathroom is sagging; you have to lift it up to close it. All the walls are peeling plaster. The furniture is from World War II. In the bathroom, the shower hose and the toilet hose are leaking, causing water to end up on the floor. It's constantly leaking. Water drips from above onto the toilet, onto your head. We only took a place to sleep and wash, but it's impossible to live there. There are better and cheaper hotels, I looked around. I begged for two bottles of water a day, but they never brought any.
It's a 25-minute walk to Long Beach and the main street. I drive, so I don't care.
A solid point. I have something to compare it to.
If there's nothing nearby at all and you need a place to spend the night, then it's okay. But this horror motivated me to travel around the island. To avoid staying in a homeless shelter.
