Tsaghkadzor Marriott Hotel in Tsaghkadzor

We had booked a cottage in this hotel with a room offering a mountain view. When we arrived, we were given a cottage facing other buildings, which has nothing to do with what was advertised. It was also stated that the cottage was a 5-minute walk from the hotel, which is absolutely not true: the path is a steep 10% incline, and luckily we had a car.

Inside the room, the reversible air conditioning (used as heating) barely worked, even though it was –5°C outside. On top of that, they only provided one small bottle of shower gel, even though we were two people.

When we arrived at the spa, we had forgotten the slippers they had given us, so we asked for another pair. The spa reception told us that they were not free and that they could not give us another pair unless we paid for them. I found this very unprofessional.

As for the spa itself, there aren’t even any changing rooms, which is very strange, especially for guests staying so far from the facilities.

The receptionist also explained that we could only get a better room if we extended our stay, and on top of that, the transfer is not included and must be paid for. To me, this is clearly unacceptable. I do not recommend this establishment at all.

Marriott Tsahkadzor is a "Fallen Star" with a zero level of service.
This hotel is a typical "fallen star". The five stars are purely nominal and exist only on the facade of the building; in fact, the service is a complete disaster.
​The all-inclusive system is a complete deception. They promise everything at check-in, but then you discover that the billiard room is closed (a separate fee is charged). The spa also has a separate price list. Moreover, the sauna is divided into a men's and a women's sauna, which is a complete surprise for my Husband and Me. This is definitely not the place for a married couple who want to celebrate an anniversary or just spend time together.

​There is no service here:
• The staff does not even bother to greet guests, and if you want to pay the bill, be prepared to wait until the staff returns to their position.
If you are looking for a Marriott Standard hotel, then you definitely won't find it here. There is nothing left of the brand except the name; inside there is complete indifference to the guests.
​• The room was poorly ventilated.
​• The cushions on the chair have not been updated. ​
• The bed was carelessly made and looked untidy. ​
• A serious violation of hygiene rules: drinking water and glasses are located right in the bathroom. Obviously, the administration assumes that all guests know to close the toilet lid to prevent the spread of bacteria everywhere, including on the glasses. ​
• There were no toothbrushes or toothpaste in the room.
​When we reported these problems to the reception, the only response was a cold "Sorry." The pinnacle of their "hospitality" was their response regarding hygiene kits:
"We provide toothbrushes only on request. We never leave them in the rooms in advance."
For a 5-star international hotel, this is simply ridiculous. Complete disappointment.

I booked this property solely because of the Marriott brand, expecting a certain standard of quality and service. Unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations.

The room was advertised as a cottage, but we were allocated a room inside a three-storied building with no lift or accessibility support. This is misleading and unacceptable. The room was very congested, and both the balcony and interiors looked old, worn out, and poorly maintained.

While the view is good, the price paid is extremely high for what is offered. Shockingly, there is no smart TV, which is a very basic amenity even in budget accommodations today. Providing such minimal facilities under a Marriott name is discouraging and reflects poorly on the brand.

Overall, the experience does not justify the cost, and the service and facilities provided are not aligned with Marriott standards. This feedback is shared seriously and in good faith, with the hope that management and brand representatives take corrective action.
