This comfortable hotel is located on the Eastern slope of Teghenis mountain, next to the cable car at a height of 2000m above sea level.

Built: 2010

Located in the resort of Tsakhkadzor, 55 km from Yerevan, in 68 km from the airport of Yerevan, not far from Kecharis monastery XI century, 50 metres from the ski lift.

Consists of a main building and 2 cottages.

Hotel alva is few minutes walk to the ropeway, breakfast is good and room is very clean. Most likely i recommend to book here on a winter as it will be more activities like ski, etc at the top of the mountain and this hotel location is great.Huge thanks to ANNA the receptionist who gives us a warm welcome and excellent service and help us a lot as she Speaks English fluently, without her our stay would be difficult i must say.

Pros - We had a very enjoyable weekend in Alva, admired the beauty of autumn colors and super fresh air, due to its great location - just in the thick forest along the mountain river, quite far from anthropogenic life. The service is very nice & helpful, the breakfast is no doubt good. Ah and a pleasant surprise was a plate of fresh fruits served in the room every day! :)
Cons - What is absolutely worth being improved is the toothpaste & brushes plus the bath robs - I am sure they should be included in the room price, as Alva is a 4-star hotel.

This hotel is just yard away from the slopes and after a long day skiing all you want is to get to return to the room and rest. The rooms are basic, clean and have everything you need. The staff are very friendly and go the extra mile to help and assist. We checked other hotel around and Alva cannot be faulted.

Altough the rooms are a bit old and totally need renovation, the staff was really helpful ans friendly .
The location is great it is located IN the Tsaghkadzor ski resort .

50 min from yervan, it 's a good resort for enjoying the slopes of tsakhkadzor. The food is great (chachlik and porc ribs yumy) with great service. The rooms are a bit 'old' but everything else was great. The Russian bath is a must! Without forgetting the peach ararat

Booked private sauna ( separate house ) several days before visit. ( 6 persons from different locations) On the way to this “resort” administrator called us and told that sauna is broken. Finally she told that management of this “resort” is still there and canceled our booking by their own. This kind of service is totally unacceptable, and it shames Armenian hospitality!!!!

Stayed in this hotel for 3 hours. The reception staff doesnt speak English properly at all. The rooms had stains all over the walls from dead bugs (Not to speak about the bugs that still were alive hanging at the corners of the room), the shower had mold, the safe was so small It couldnt even fit a tablet. To toilet didn't flush properly. There are cups to make tea, but no watercooker or tea. We tried the swimming pool which according to the uninterested lady there was nicely warm 25°C which was really too cold to swim. This hotel is far from being a 4 star. Maybe a 3 star but certainly not more. We moved out same day they ripped us another 31500 AMD for the 4 hours we stayed even though they agreed not to charge anything. Dont stay here they are thieves ! I stay on average 90 nights per year in hotels this was really one of the worst.

Great view from the window , the same service. Kitchen buffet, better than in Tunisia. Great variety, reasonable prices. Intoxicating the air around. Of the minuses - cold water in the pool and long you have to drain the cold water in the shower. Showers leak water all over the bathroom.
