Zara Tower Hotel in Sydney

I recently had the unpleasant experience of staying at the Zara Hotel and I have to say, it was far from the luxurious experience I was promised. The room was dark and dingy, with unfinished decor and dirty footprints on the ceiling (actually sound boards hung from the exposed ceiling). The hotel was not well-maintained and did not live up to the standard it claims to set. The neighborhood was not in a desirable area and far from the city's main attractions.

The customer service at the hotel was disappointing, to say the least. When I asked for a refund, the front desk staff was unwilling to accommodate and charged me the full cost of the stay, even though the room was not up to standard and I left immediately after check-in, spending less than 10 minutes on site. This left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of.

It's clear that the Zara Hotel is just an apartment space that has been refurbished to look good in photos, but in reality, it falls far short of what one would expect from a hotel. The rooms are not well-kept, the staff is unaccommodating, and the neighborhood leaves much to be desired. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and suggest finding alternative accommodations. I stayed at the Intercontinental downtown last minute for about the same cost. This experience was a huge disappointment and I paid dearly $$ for my mistake.
