This is a wonderful hotel. It is a welcoming townhouse with gorgeous rooms and bathrooms. The location is perfect, central and close to lots of great restaurants. It is super clean! Shout out to Lana and Philip..perfect hosts. Would definitely return.

I stayed here for 2 nights. High expectations due to rating of 9,8 and price of 750Euro for 2 nights

In that respect, It was a disappointment.

It’s a nice hotel, central, okish. Staff very helpful and friendly….but few

When I arrived , I thought it was a mistake. Its among many hostels, and outside/entrance reminded me of a boutique small hotel/hostel.. I stayed in Lyall Melbourne. That was a true 5 star boutique hotel in a very nice area. Ok, prices differ between Sydney and Melbourne, but still!

I thknk a fair rating should have been 8,8 and price should have been euro 200-250/night rather than 375/night

Can not recommend to this price

The rooms are well appointed and bright, newly decorated and very clean. The staff is so welcoming. The location is great with lots of dining options. There is a store nearby for snacks. The breakfast was very good and fresh. Highly recommend.

This hotel is a lovely boutique hotel near to Kings Cross. We had a lovely welcome and were taken to our room. The room was on the first floor. I had emailed the hotel to say that I have walking difficulties after an operation and they put us in a room accessed by a lift which was great for me. The room was amazing! Very big with a lovely open bathroom ( there is a glass door and curtain for privacy). The breakfast was in a nice room by reception. The staff were all so lovely and very helpful especially with helping us find our way around Sydney . The breakfast menu was quite small and not traditional breakfast but there is something for everyone I'm sure. Everything about this hotel is good. It's a bit different to the hotel we usually stay in and I'm glad we chose this one for Sydney. It's very close to Kings Cross. An easy walk to the tube station and lots of restaurants and bars nearby. It's definitely a hotel I'd love to come back to. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Located in a peaceful neighbourhood, away from the city. Its a short distance to King's Cross Station.

The staff was very warm, friendly and helpful.
You can take a scenic walk to the Opera House.

Highly Recommended.

A really gorgeous boutique hotel,on a quiet, leafy road, within an easy walk to the station and metro,Kings Cross nearby too. Check in was easy, really lovely, friendly staff member, makes all the difference! He gave us lots of good tips about the area, after asking us if we were OK with stairs, carried my(very) heavy case up the fairly steep stairs to room 5,at the top of the building. Can honestly say, the whole place has such a relaxed, calm vibe. Our room was immaculate, huge bathroom with walk in shower, extremely comfy bed(personal opinion!), iron/board, hairdryer, tasteful toiletries, which can also be bought from reception,a tea/coffee tray. There is a mini bar provided, however, the prices are really rather high…There’s also an honesty bar downstairs.you add your room number and it’s charged to your bill at check out. We didn’t eat at Spicers, although brekkie smelled good,we ate at a place about a five minute walk away, which had an amazing menu, with fab food. To walk to the harbour from the hotel,it’s a great walk, down steps, past Woolloomooloo wharf, through the Botanic gardens and there y’go! If you don’t want/not able to walk any distance, Ubers are quick, easy, and friendly too. Back in the hotel, which,is a sanctuary to return to after being out all day -there’s a small reading room, and,at the back of the hotel,a pretty terrace. If you’re looking for something that bit different from the usual hotel chains, then this place is probably pretty much perfect.

Food was awesome. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Not overly priced either. Will definitely be back.

Seriously amazing, the split pea dip with pita is mind blowing, and the staff are so kind and happy to talk you through the menu. Extensive wine list suited for all tastes, and despite eating as a vegan, the kitchen was happy to serve me up some of the most deliciously authentic food I’ve had in the east. Would always recommend for every occasion!

Not a fan of the whole rock up and get in line style of restaurant reservations, and a wait of 45 to 60 minutes was a bit of a downer, but this place was definitely worth the wait. Food was great and serving sizes very generous. Staff were friendly and attentive without being ever present. Highly recommend this restaurant, one star off for the whole no bookings thing ?

The best greek food I have ever tasted. My go to place when I feel like dining greek style. I have never been disappointed.
The venue is cozy, cocktails and wine lists are great, the menu classic and simple but oh so fantastic. Apollo's set menu is the first set menu I've had at a restaurant where I have actually not only liked but absolutely loved every single dish. I am an extremely picky woman when it comes to food and fine dining is kind of my hobby. I actually dream about Apollo from time to time and I always bring new friends to the restaurant when I get the chance to and no one of them has ever been disappointed but very surprised.

Amazing food, very cool interior and the staff were so nice and friendly. Wonderful ambiance too even on a Sunday, nice and busy with great music. Five stars is not enough. (And you must try the saganaki!).

Decent food, nothing special, staff was not very knowledgeable about their sake.

Busshari offers delicately handled, fresh sushi alongside tasty and authentic Japanese pub food. While dining in here just the other day my girlfriend and also I saw a very famous Australian actress-musician power couple who I won’t mention by name for their privacy.

I used to have lunch there a lot but the standards of service and menu choices have deteriorated beyond belief. Such a shame,

Contaminated food and ridiculous prices!
I didn't have chance to take a photo to prove everyone about my bad experience. But i have to warn you to be careful when you eat here.
That was Tuesday night and it was quite busy.
I stand next to the kitchen and waited for toilet. (Apparently they are open kitchen and the toilet just next to it). There was a waiter, i saw him chuck the food in the bins but except the leafs, which are used for plating. I was wondering why they keep that in a container. And later on, I saw they clean the leafs and re-used again for hot dish and sushi plates.
Even Sashimi is not fresh and tastes plain. I try a lots of Japanese restaurant, trust me that if you really want to experience the good quality Japanese one, just pay a bit more for Hanajurin in Crow Nest, Sake in the Rock or Sokyo in The Star, you will fell worthy and never come back here. Pricey food and the bill ends up to $150 for 2 pax. Almost the same as last time i had in Sake restaurant.
29.11.2017 Alison
Overrated. Came here for a birthday dinner and the sea urchin and sashimi was EXTREMELY not fresh, to the point we left the portion on the plate (and I spat mine back out). The staff and kitchen told us that that is how it tastes. Um. I don’t think so. Japanese and sashimi is my favourite cuisine and I’ve never had sashimi as bad as that, let alone a response that irresponsible. I will never come back here again. Ever.

Bad service they couldnt find me and so my food and coffee were both cold and the pancakes were dry so i had ask twice for maple syrup

Poor service and breakfast was below average yet overpriced. They bought my breakfast out in 3 different rounds and the beans tasted gross. Then when I recieved the bill it was inflated by an extra $16 dollars probably in the hope I wouldn't notice. They also had the cheek to charge an extra $2 dollars because it was the weekend...included in tiny writing on the front of their menu so watch out. Won't be coming here again. Will try Charlies nextdoor next time I'm in the mood for a fry up on a Sunday morning.

Been here three times. First time was with a group from work. Because we booked 24 people for breakfast they wanted us to preorder. So we pre-ordered as required. We were all there and seated early and the food was still late, worse still my meal was not as I ordered and on top of that it was cold and the eggs were congealing. Next time I just ordered coffee which was average. This morning went for a meeting prior to work. I ordered a bacon and egg roll and coffee. Despite telling the waiter that I wanted the eggs in my roll cooked so that they were hard they were soft and runny when delivered. This was after I explained to him that I did not want soft egg running down my shirt front. The coffee was delivered and was luke warm. The "gourmet" roll was delivered by a waitress - I pointed out that the egg yokes were runny and I had specifically asked that they be cooked until they were hard. She just shrugged and walked off. To top it off they wouldn't split the bill so one guy got stung with it. So poor service, ordinary coffee and so so food. About the only thing going for this place is the ambience.

Less than Average experience. Pizza's cheap but not great. Table service for me was poor. Waitresses seemed to lack experience.
05.08.2017 Natalia
It is one of the best restaurants I've ever been at. The waitess was very kind and welcoming and the food was delicious. The steak with mashed potato and vegatables were amazing! It was perfectly cooked, and high quality and at a low price. The atmosphere was great and the owner was an absolute legend! Definitely coming here again!
