This place is the worst place I have ever booked. We were given our room keys and the room had not been cleaned. The bed linen had not been washed, dirty towels in our room. Rubbish still in the rubbish bins.

They apologized and then gave us another room where the windows do not lock, dirty carpet and asked for our money back. They agreed, however have never paid.

I’d still like to give this hotel 5 stars, though you might go in with high expectations. The owner is really nice and sweet. I think the only issues are that there’s no elevator and sometimes we have to wait to use the shower.

Not sure what other reviewers expect for this price and location. It is loud but get some decent earplugs. Rooms are perfectly neat and tidy, shower is hot. The check in process is on the front door, you just have to walk up the street. A lot better than other places once stayed for the same price that were actually as described here, filthy and uncomfortable. This place is neither

Very Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend!
I had a pretty bad experience staying at Sydney Central Inn. The place is old and not well-maintained. The room wasn’t very clean, and there weren’t even basic essentials like bed sheets—just really bad mattresses, super uncomfortable. Even the fan was tiny and barely helped with the heat. The building itself is outdated, and honestly, the only good thing about it was the location.
The process of getting the keys and instructions was terribly organized. It was confusing and made the check-in unnecessarily stressful. We paid for three people, but there were only two chairs in the room—something so basic that should have been taken care of. The old windows were nearly impossible to open or close properly, which was frustrating.
Overall, it felt way overpriced for the state it was in. I wouldn’t recommend this place, and I definitely won’t be coming back.

Room stinks like mold. Super loud until 3am from bar below. Bunk beds are unstable. You wake up from any movement in the other bed. No elevator for suitcases. Rooms have no air conditioning, so it's very hot in the summer/spring.
There are only two bathrooms with combined shower toilet and sink per floor so you can not brush your teeth if someone is taking a shower.

The location was great though.

Nice and presentable on the surface, but have you used the washroom?! Have you been to the lower floor?!

Great food, enough portions. Opens till late. The only drawback for me is sharing table with other people. Busy all the time. Live local Thailand music. I don’t understand it but it was good. A must try place for sure. I missed eating crape so I’m waiting to go back. (The crape stall closes at 11pm).

Great pad thai and iced Thai coffee. Friendly staff and a popular spot for local Thais which is a good sign. We will go back.

As a fan of Thai food, this place truly delivers. There is a very pleasing aesthetic be with the bricked walls and urban-esque decoration. Service is always extremely quick, and food is very delicious. Highly recommend.

My most favourite yumcha restaurant in Sydney! Take a group or take a date for some early morning yumcha.

Food: 10/10 delicious and perfect
Service: 7/10 expect the usual service
Ambiance: 9/10 simply beautiful

Worth it? Definitely a must try if you love yumcha!!

One of my favourite yum cha places. Service is great expect for the 'managers' dressed in black who attempt to avoid any physical work. Yum cha selection is great and the trolley ladies are always kind and hospitable. Avoid ordering an alcoholic beverage and just drink the tea for goodness sake.

came in for a work lunch, we had pre-ordered via email. There was no soap in the bathroom, advised the manager, he said he'd take a look & never got back to me. I then asked the waitress who went into the bathroom, came out & never got back to me. I then asked the manager again & he came out of the bathroom with soap still on his hands held up as if I were incapable of operating the soap dispenser but clearly the waitress had fixed it without advising anyone. Of the pre-ordered meals, they had left one out and advised we never ordered it yet we had email confirmation that we infact had.Poor service, food was sub-par and above all, overpriced. Would definitely avoid.
