Where to stay in Sydney

My 2nd trip back here after having a positive experience back in Feb. Again it’s Harvey at Storehouse that made the difference. Excellent service and was well taken care of each evening. Room was comfortable and location is great, close to Chinatown and minutes away from the station. Will be back again for sure.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to St James station, and right next to Westfield and QVB. The room was also quite spacious and comfortable. We opted for a quiet room, but the slight inconvenience was having to take an elevator to the front desk, then walk up stairs to another elevator, which was a bit awkward with luggage.

Nice & clean place to stay. Only a small issue was that bathroom is not lit very well, hard to see. close to public transport making it easy to get around. Easy to head to Sydney Circle Quay.

Undoubtedly one of the best hotels in Sydney with easy access to The Star ****** and with tram service right to Sydney CBD.

The service was pretty good, they were accommodating with all requests. The location is right by Hyde Park, and the subway and bus stations are relatively close. You can walk pretty much everywhere. It's a decent place, but it's not cheap. The breakfast was okay for a day or two, but after a week, I got tired of it, haha.

Outstanding customer service! I received exemplary service from every single staff member from beginning to end. The hotel's location is pretty good, conveniently close to the subway and central station, both within walking distance. Hyde Park is right next door. It's also easy to catch a taxi right outside. Location is good at World Square. However, the building next to the hotel appears to be empty, ie, no shops operating. Staff are pleasant. The location is very close to the railway station and easy to get to airport. However, the design in the toilet has improvement because the water in bathroom will cause the wet floor within the toilet with the unsuitable design of glass door. The staffs are able to assist us for giving more towels to relief the wet impact as I mentioned before.

Great location, very safe, and within walking distance to all the main attractions. Getting around is super easy too, with the Museum metro station just a short walk away, and it's quite beautiful. The hotel is clean, and for exploring the city, Ibis is always my top choice for value for money.

This was my second stay here. It's really convenient for getting to Macquarie Centre, and the rooms are clean. There's limited outdoor free parking right outside, but it's first-come, first-served, and it gets really tight on weekends. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Sydney.

Overall, the hotel was pretty good. It's conveniently located with great facilities. However, the housekeeping service was disappointing. I understand they might not clean on Easter for two days, but they didn't clean even after the holiday was over.

The room is fully equipped with a washing machine and dryer. The kitchen has a microwave, oven, electric stove, cutlery, and more, making it convenient for self-catering. Preparing your own breakfast can save a lot on meal expenses. The elevator is fast, though the vibration and noise are a bit loud.

Location was good, just behind QVB. Front office always seem very busy, but friendly when approached. Room was very good size, and clean. Breakfast area was small but good selection. Coffee was good !

The location is unbeatable – just a short walk to Darling Harbour, Town Hall Station, and plenty of cafes, shops, and restaurants. Perfect for both work and sightseeing. Great location with superior services

Absolutely stunning night views! This was the best hotel of our entire Australia trip. Even though the price soared to 4000 during the Chinese New Year holiday, it was absolutely worth it. You get Sydney's best view, the Harbour Bridge, right from your room. The room itself is spacious and clean, and it's super convenient to get a taxi to the city or for shopping.

Booked a twin room with breakfast (including breakfast for two children) through Trip.com. The front desk initially claimed there was no breakfast, then gave us a room on the lowest floor. When checking out, it was pouring rain, and we had a ton of luggage, plus elderly and children. The location is fantastic, on the first floor. It's incredibly quiet and peaceful. From the fourth floor, you can directly access the South Bank Park on the other side of the river. The hotel is an old factory and the room super small and with technical issues. Reception don’t get what you say and I had a mayor issue due that.

It was very nice experience with clean perfect view

Hotel is easy to find, but there’s nothing in the neighbourhood—you’ll need to drive to get anywhere. The bathroom amenities are very basic. Breakfast is not worth $36—you only get instant coffee, which is very disappointing. The sofa bed is only suitable for small kids, not for adults. You can feel the springs when sitting on it, and the mattress is very thin.

Poor service, poor attitudes, poor food, and a tired old hotel that probably needs to be revamped and get rid of their staff. Don’t waste your time.

We stayed here over new year’s eve and the location was fantastic. Both the neighbourhood itself as well as the proximity to the centre was very convenient. However, the rooms are rather small and the shower got easily flooded. Currently there is a big construction at the pool and it is also placed on ground level near parking spaces.
