Where to stay in Gold Coast

Great location with an easy walk to the beach, central Surfers Paradise, and access to the tram to other parts of the Gold Coast. The apartment was clean with an excellent bathroom and shower. The towels were great too - new and fluffy. The furniture in my room was dated, the mattress was old, uncomfortable, and should have been replaced a decade ago, and the apartment lacked any style or decor...

A little run down inside our apartment but the view is great and the rooms are huge. Good for families

Free parking and a free swimming pool are available. It's an apartment-style hotel, mostly self-service. Overall, it's pretty good.

This hotel is perfectly located on the second row from the beach, with a bus stop right downstairs, making transportation super convenient. The beach and a supermarket are both just about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel also comes with a kitchen and laundry room, and the tableware and facilities are all excellent. It's really family-friendly if you're traveling with kids. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay with a nice ocean view over the top of most of the buildings in front of us. It’s a block off the ocean. Car park is convenient and easy to use when we were there. Very easy walk to the beaches and downtown area. Loads of restaurants and shopping to be had. We would definitely come back and stay at this place again.

This place is located in a good location, free parking and friendly hotel staffs.

Great location, basic room, clean but could use an update. Lift out of action atm so we got some steps in. Reception only open on the last day and he seemed lovely. We were sent communication via email for all our needs re check in and check out.

Received no information about how to get in. Lift very slow and broken down when I wantedto leave which meant that I had to rely on another guest to finish pacling and bring my gear down. Receiption not open when advertised.

Very basic old style accommodation. Too much outdoor lighting at night. Blockout drapes did not fully fit the openings. Thrre was no natursl light during the day due to the tall builing next door. Barbeque had been out of order for sometime but there wss no mention about it. Web info says to contact using given numbers, but they did not work at any time. Had to look up their website for email. Good location, with comfortable until layout. A very quick walk to the beach and many local dining options, including the local surf club.

Stayed for just over a week during the Magic Millions racing carnival and horse sales, a great/convenient spot that was close to everything. Good sized room that had everything that I needed and would definitely recommend to others heading to the GC for Magic Millions i the future. Staff were very helpful and easy to talk to.

Great location. Shame about Caravan Park directly in front. Use the higher levels 20 and upwards, to block it out a little. Master bed in room 47 lvl 13 was very uncomfortable. Felt like a cheap, hard mattress. Room was bight and clean. Vacuum was broken. Bed rooms could be improved with block out curtains on either side of blinds to prevent the bright light disturbing your morning holiday sleep....

We can not speak highly enough of our experience staying here. The apartment was spacious, well furnished, the beds were comfortable and the facilities were well kept and easily accessible! Our kids loved the fact that they had boogie boards to borrow. The location was perfect, just a short walk around the corner for anything you need and an easy drive or tram if you want to get into busy Surfers...

Great location, easy check in (out of office hours). Safe and secure & best of all easy parking for my big vehicle. Easy walking distance to delicious eateries & there are plenty to choose from, a small supermarket and wonderful variety of shops and art galleries. This is my 2nd time staying at Oscar On Main and I will most definitely be back.

Service is great overall, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. However, communication can sometimes be a little disorganised between reception, guests, and online reservations—particularly when trying to extend a stay. Lovely apartment and located within easy walking to beach and restaurants. Pools were crystal clear and great loungers. The apartment 13b was excellent, so clean and new feel, great views. King bed in main. Loved the sound of the waves. Fantastic stay, couldn't find fault anywhere.

Apartment was spotless and the location is perfect. The bathrooms could do with an upgrade as very old fittings and showers very small but were spotlessly clean! Would highly recommend this property.

We had a clean, comfortable stay with a stunning ocean view at Ultiqa Beach Haven. The staff were helpful and friendly, and it’s just a short walk to the beach and great restaurants. The bathroom in our standard apartment could use some upgrades. Pool towels are not complimentary but can be purchased for $15 or bath towels can be used for the pool and changed if you ask, We’d happily come back to stay...

Well appointed and spacious apartment, had everything you need for a relaxing stay. Facilities were excellent and well maintained, I used the pools every day, and played tennis with the family. The location is perfect, near the beach and eateries, with Pacific Fair and Surfers a short light rail ride away.

A very convenient location at Main beach in Gold Coast, the resort was very easy to find when we arrived, check in was really smooth, Rene & the staff were super helpful and friendly. The apartment was equipped with a kitchen, had amazing sea views, spacious bedrooms and all we needed to have a very comfortable and relaxing stay. Totally recommend this resort to families looking for quiet and relaxing...

The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet area. There's a bus stop nearby, and the beach is across the street. A large store is a 25-minute walk away, and a tram stop is 10 minutes away. The center, with its cafes, is a 5-minute walk away, and there's also a breakfast cafe downstairs. There's construction next to the hotel, but it didn't bother us at all. The room was spacious, but we were unlucky...

Carpets definitely needs to a steam cleaning. Curtains and the couches has stain, visually you can see the stain needs a good cleaning. Shower base is not level. The drainage is in the middle and the water builds up one side of the base. You have to bring the water to the drainage by using your foot. Door handles are lose. The drainages need mesh to stop cockroaches coming inside.

We enjoyed 9 nights stay, beautiful views, quite location but very close to anything. We were on the 14th floor of a lovely, tidy apartment with anything basic needed. Kitchenware, blankets, TV in every room, towels etc. Received an email for a mod-stay clean up but nobody showed up - which is fine as we kept tidy and a vacuum is provided in the room. We just loved it!!

I have stayed a the Moroccan a number of times. Really enjoy the location and parking. Rooms can be hit and miss, some are looking really tired with broken furnishings, for the money you pay you could get better down the road, however if your lucky enough to get an updated apartment it can really make your trip.

Everything was good except that I can’t understand that in this day and age they had no WiFi. After three days of complaining they gave us a modem that worked for one day and then stopped.

Staff friendly and very helpful, amenities need to be upgraded as starting to look aged. Windows were difficult to wind open, that sort of thing, just needs a bit more love and care. No smoke alarms which is troubling, was taken off wall. This sort of thing should be checked regularly. The instructions regarding where to retrieve the room key were not clearly explained. Customer service did not answer calls from the door and only answered after a long delay. It was also very difficult to finally obtain the key.

We rented a superior ocean view room. The view was excellent. Two balconies, both with ocean views. The sea is about 50 meters away. There's a grill and tables for guests of the apartment complex. We recommend buying meat (we bought kangaroo and beef) from the supermarket and grilling it.

Our experience at paradise island hotel was just average.

The hotel Is pretty old...Standard cleanliness, excellent location, just a 10-minute walk from Surfers Paradise. If you're using the hotel just as a base, it's perfectly fine

Fantastic location my teenage daughters loved being to close to Pacific Fair. Still close to the centre of broadbeach and the beach. The room was clean and modern. The bed was uncomfortable which was the only negative. Overall would stay again.

Apartment and amenities very good. 2 big pools great for adults and kids. Staff super friendly excellent with communications before you arrive and helpful throughout stay of your looking for cafes and restaurants nearby. Can’t wait to go back again fantastic location.

Our second time at this resort. The place was under refurbishment and is looking good. The pools are sensational. A very relaxing stay. Only downer was the dogs next door barking early in the morning. We will probably be back next year.

A lot to comment on here, so here goes... When we arrived on Monday evening, the hotel had a power cut, which made the process of checking in and finding out room extremely challenging. Luckily, the hotel manager (Nelson) was very helpful, despite the lateness and the lack of light.

Very outdated furnishings and kitchen and bathrooms, rattling window shutters on balcony, balcony chats all rusted so couldn’t use them without marking clothes and lots of little maintenance issues throughout the apartment. Overpriced for what it is. Really paying for the location

Staff were great maintenance man Brendan was fabulous, lady behind front desk with dark hair on our arrival was lovely, and throughout the duration of our stay, however there was a blond lady that was quiet unfriendly, affirmative and put a damper on our special occasion with family, and because of her we won’t be returning.

This was our second stay at Golden Riveria. We love it here. Close to airport, on the beach and across the road from shops and surf club. If you dont have a car, you can access everything you need in walking distance.

This place is conveniently located close to the beach, has all household appliances and facilities and good value for money. However, its the Front Desk staff that make it 10/10 for me. I was lucky to meet Valerie Noel, a truly charming and delightful lady from Uruguay 🇺🇾 ❤️. She made my stay entirely wonderful, and I will return to this special place because of her outstanding service.

We loved staying here. The pool is fantastic, view was amazing, and location is perfect. However, the rooms themselves are a little run down. Fittings and fixtures are old, missing oven trays, linen wasn’t provided for numbers requested, and low batteries in smoke alarms was a bit of a drama. Nothing major and we will be back for sure but a few things to sharpen up on.

Rooms are a little old but they are clean, well ventilated and adequate for a family holiday. Love the 2 unit layout for our older kids. Each have their own unit space with an adjoining front door. Kitchen is slightly small and only equipped with the bare minimum. Location wise you couldn't ask for anything closer to the beach or the pool.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay for 2 adults 3 kids. Access to the beach just across the road and usually lifeguards have flagged area very close. The apartment was great but the description was totally wrong it's not queen and two twin bedrooms it's two doubles and one twin bedroom! The middle bedroom had nothing in it apart from a double bed. No lamp no table not even a chair.

It’s beautifully maintained and freshly renovated main areas. I have been visiting this place for approx 20 years since I was a child and I’ve had fantastic memories here. Apartments are clean and well cared for and terrific ocean views. Facilities including the indoor pool area is great for kids and always clean. We loved the location of this hotel. Close enough to the main strip to enjoy everything Surfers Paradise has to offer, but far enough away to avoid the constant noise, crowds, and parking chaos. The main area was extremely busy, so we quickly discovered that e-bikes were the best way to get around. Room was very bad condition, the furniture was very old and ripped, we were six people and there was only 4 dining chairs we did asked for two more didn't get it.

Property need to do some serious house keeping. Furnitures in the living room has worn out and property is infested with crockroach. Will not come back again.

There was a massive cockroach in the room, almost the size of my palm! The facilities are really old and run-down. However, the staff were very friendly. It's very close to the beach, but unfortunately, it rained heavily throughout our stay, so we couldn't go.

The complex is dated, but we found the price really reasonable for a very spacious apartment with amazing views in a great location. The apartment had everything we needed, was clean (although not spotless) and the pool and jacuzzi were awesome. Recommend for a family holiday at the Gold Coast.

After hours check-in was easy and staff were courteous. Our room unfortunately wasn’t very clean and maybe a better dishwasher detergent should be provided so kitchen pots, pans etc are cleaned properly. ( we went out and bought electric frypan, kettle and a decent detergent. Washing machine was full of mould, so that needed cleaning before using. Our overall experience was good, the reception staff were fantastic and gave helpful information. Cleaning was a little lacking and we would have found it useful to have a set of tongs in the kitchen a scrubbing brush for dishes and possibly a couple of face cloths which we ended up buying. We had a lovely stay though so just a few minor tweaks

We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment. The apartment was a good size offering 2 outdoor balcony seating areas and a spa. The pool area and BBQ area were great. The apartment itself is a bit tired and could do with a refresh, and a deep clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming and communicated the late check in procedure well making our arrival smooth.

It was okay overall. Given the price, I expected a bit more in terms of facilities and service, though I understand it was a busy Christmas period.

Reception staff very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. Unit was clean. Had usual amenities, coffee/tea, dish soap, laundry soap. Paper towels would have been nice. Loved that parking was included. The only thing I would point out, for some, might be an issue are the stairs. Does not matter which unit you stay in always stairs to negotiate. Enjoyed my stay

Beaches on Wave, was safe, comfortable, clean with on site secure and easy parking. The Manager and staff were great and the property suited our needs. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a short stay on the Gold Coast.

The room we had was perfect for our situation. We did get small ants every night when we returned home which was very annoying. No elevator so stairs could be an issue for some people, but we were fine.

Had a wonderful stay at Surf Parade Resort! Came for the Gold Coast marathon & this was the perfect place to recover with the pool, spa & sauna on site. The view from our apartment of the ocean & hinterland was breathtaking & far beyond what we expected. Would definitely recommend & we will return

Apartment very clean, roomy & had the basics, but is in need of an update. The blinds do not close properly in the lounge room. A little noisy next to the lift as well. Otherwise was an OK stay close to the beach & transport.

It was a pleasant stay and I got a special visitor who flew in to say ‘Hi’. The accommodation is suitable for family stay but would be too big for a solo traveller like myself.

The location is excellent; the beach is just across the street. The serviced apartment offers little beyond the front desk; the rooms are very spacious with a balcony offering sea views, and the price is quite reasonable.

Great location and lovely apartments with good amenities . Rooms have great views of surfers paradise and the ocean and are very modern . The pool is ok but was very deep so not the best for kids
