Alpin Resort Sacher in Seefeld

As always an almost perfect experience. We had a very nice junior suite with AC. The spa area including external pools and hot tub are great. The food was excellent too. My only remark is related to the service during our first dinner. It was definitely not worth of a 5* superior hotel. We had to wait 15 minutes for our waiter to takeaway our plates. Furthermore we had to serve the wine ourselves at some point. He was not paying attention to our table. Luckily we had another waiter the next day who did a great job. Breakfast is delicious with a large variety of fresh products.

The Alpin Sacher is beautifully unique --- total
fantasy, whimsy and elegance. Just walking through the hotel makes me smile. The guest rooms are beautifully decorated and have magnificent views. In the Sacher tradition, service is outstanding. Of particular note was the breakfast and kitchen staff that went way beyond our exceptions to assure that our favorites were available. I look forward to our next visit.

After an uncomfortable check-in experience, the hotel manager - Laura - and her staff have done an incredible job making things up for us. I normally would keep a lukewarm review in this scenario (ie 3/5 up from 1/5), but I think they showed a level of training and professionalism that one doesn't often see in most 5-star establishments.

Sacher should be proud.

Plus:
1. Excellent food. Well done, chef. Especially the buffet and breakfast were to remember. The chickpea velouté last night could have been less salty, but that's pretty much the only remark on my side.
2. Gorgeous premises. Spa is to die for.
3. Overall very good staff. Some need a bit more training in handling picky customers (guilty), but most are incredible.

One must give Caesar what's Caesar's.

Well done, Sacher! We'll be back.

Only suggestion for the restaurant: the kids menu is either deep fried or a pasta. That's fine for 1 meal, but for those staying more than 1 night it might be a showstopper for longer stays with kids (at least, it would be for me). It wouldn't be hard to correct this one. Add:
1. Veal escalope and green vegetables (use the same cut as for schnitzel, but just sear it)
2. 2 Eggs (sunny side up) and potatoes puré and grilled veggies
3. Grilled Salmon, white rice and some grilled veggies

--> would make you even more child friendly, ready for longer stays for families, at very little effort from the kitchen.

Just checked into this hotel and not a great start.
1. We arrived and nobody at the door to welcome/help with luggage. (That's OK for me)
2. The hotel had prepared an upgraded room vs our reservation due to a misunderstanding. (That's also OK)
3. We had to wait quite a while before the misunderstanding was figured out, plus 10/15 mins before the other - downgraded - room was ready.
4. Room has a nice old nail in the bathtub - not cleaned properly!

We are clearly not freeriders and I want nobody's lunch for free. However, according to our experience, it's not worthy of a 5 star establishment in this situation to refuse to stick to the room they had prepared already. Why doing that? The room was ready, you put us in an uncomfortable situation (+ with a pregnant wife), why actively downgrade vs letting us stay in the room already prepared because of your mistake?

I communicated the shortcomings of the check-in and suggested to do that to make things better. They also actively refused.

Well - your service is not worthy of your stars in my opinion. Thanks for making your guests uncomfortable and built up with your stinginess on top of your mistakes.

An absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel is truly beautiful, with an elegant atmosphere, outstanding attention to detail, and exceptionally kind and professional staff.

Our entire stay was amazing. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Even the owner of the hotel greets and talks to every single guest. The rooms are spotless and every room has a unique style with an eye for details.

The spa area is massive and due to it's size it never feels crowded.

The food is amazing and every single dish is unique.

We've been to the resort twice and would come back again.

Absolutely stunning hotel. One of the best I've ever been too. The location was perfect, the hotel was amazing, the food was too quality and the staff were so friendly.

Really enjoyed our stay. Quiet, beautiful view, great hikes. Amazing vegan menu (super vegan friendly!). Great 20M outdoor pool for swimmers. Welcoming staff.

This is a beautiful alpine resort in a small town called Seefeld which is about 10 miles from Innsbruck. It was very easy to take the train into Innsbruck. The town of Seefeld is charming!

This is one of the best stays and experiences. I highly recommend and we look forward to staying again. The staff were exceptional! The hotel is well situated, well designed and maintained. The spa was serene and clean. There is a lot to do just at the resort without needing to step out. Overall a wonderful experience.
