One of the best hotels I’ve had the pleasure of staying at, it’s beautiful, spacious and the staff are amazing. We stayed for 7 days over the Christmas period, the bar is great, the meals that were included as half board included a 5 course menu each night and the food was different each night.

The rooms are cleaned every day, the cleaners are very friendly and do an excellent job. The pool area has the most incredible views of the mountains and it definitely has the wow factor.

The location is perfect everything within walking distance, plenty of bars, restaurants, skiing shops and more importantly the slopes!

What made it even more special was that Father Christmas came to visit the kids and he was reading out the names of the kids who were staying at the hotel and gave them all presents we weren’t told that was going to happen so that was a lovely surprise.

A perfect holiday, thank you to everyone involved with this hotel!

The Hotel Salzburger Hof is an Austrian dream! I went with 6 girlfriends to ski in and around Bad Gastein (highly recommended using Ski Miquel for excellent coordination and guiding). The hotel scores 5 stars on all counts - location, rooms, personnel, food and cleanliness. Cannot recommend it more highly!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Best hotel. Amazing food. Very comfortable beds. Every member of staff there are so friendly helpful and welcoming. Special mention to Erica who gave me two of the best massages I’ve ever had. I had the pleasure of a massage from her two years ago on a previous visit. Also Christof & Jessica in the restaurant, who could not have done more for us to make our dining experience perfect. We stayed over new year and thoroughly enjoyed the gala dinner fireworks & entertainment provided. Myself and my daughter in law booked the thermal bath experience but this was very disappointing. This was however the only negative of an excellent holiday at this beautiful hotel. I’d go as far as to say our time there was magical.

This hotel was one of the stops on our cycling trip. It's a little dated but still tasteful and clean. Beds are a little soft. The front desk staff could be a little friendlier but we've encountered this a lot in Austria so perhaps it's a cultural thing. The views are quite beautiful given the 1060 metre elevation.

Hotel is old, I’m sure it was very cool 30 years ago. beds are extremely soft, so my back hurt after the 6 days. Staff is friendly, location is good.

Beautiful hotel with unique atmosphere. The personnel was very professional and friendly. The food was delicious and different buffet every day. We even received upgraded room as we had stayed there earlier. We were well taken care of! Can’t wait for the next time.

Another excellent stay at this hotel. We booked two weeks this time as our one week stay last year wasn’t long enough! We even asked for and got the same room. Staff remembered us from our last stay and were as helpful and obliging as we remembered. Food is excellent. Facilities, such as the pool and spa are very good. The natural swimming pond was particularly welcome as we experienced high temperatures during our trip.

My husband and I recently stayed at Hotel Salzburger Hof for 7 nights with the half board package and I can confirm this is one of the best and most unique places we have stayed. The location was only a short walk from Bad Gastein train station, ski lift and plenty of shops and bars.
As soon as we checked in we were greeted with friendly staff and all staff that we met throughout our stay were polite and very helpful. Leonardo was our waiter every night and he provided exceptional service as well as different wine recommendations each night.

After skiiing we spent most of our days by the wellness centre as well as the adults only wellness centre. Both were very clean. We especially liked the whirlpool in the adults only pool.

The food was EXCEPTIONAL. I would like to thank the chef Mario and his team for serving the exquisite food. I would highly recommend anyone looking to stay to book the half board package. We were very well fed our entire stay from the breakfast buffet, after skiing buffet followed by the 5 course dinner.

I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone looking to holiday in Bad Gastein.
