Gastein Hotel Tauernblick in Bad Hofgastein

Great location in town. Close to everything. Food and amenities were excellent. The only thing we wanted was to have coffee available before 7:30. Highly recommend it.

Great hotel! - The food was fantastic. I was very impressed with both the quality and quantity. - Staff were very helpful and super friendly. - Afternoon tea served at 3PM. - New pool with very warm water (open 7am to 7pm). - Clean throughout. - Two very nice lounge/living areas. - Open fire in the afternoon which was a nice touch. - Price: Good value, at least when I booked.

We had a great week. Pretty close to Schlossalmbahn. 10 minute walk or by skibus. Schlossalmbahn grants access to an extensive ski area. Snow was ok in the higher parts. Good breakfastbuffet. Good and hot capucino. Good beds, good shower. Agreeable sauna area. Swimming pool. Afternooncakes, good snack after skiing. Dinners were varied and tasty, we enjoyed it every evening. Last but not least: the restaurantpersonnel has been working very hard (time between x mas and new year is very busy of course) and our special compliments and appreciation for them. Tip: close the sauna area for little children e.g. under 16, make explicit that it is a place to be quiet and ensure it s a non clothing area (some people considered it an area for extensive talks and kids were running in and out from the swimmingpool with their parents).

For me Bad Hofgastein is one of the best places on this planet and I can say that Hotel Alpina has helped our experience to reach the very top because of extremelly friendly atmosphere, delicious food, good service and nice location. Thank you, guys! From Denis And Daria.

Lovely, charming and well run hotel. This is the definitive Alpine hotel full of pine wood and views across to the mountains. My room - number 21 - was small as single rooms tend to be but it was nicely furnished and well cleaned each morning. The spa and pool was always clean and a nice place to be. Finally, the food was excellent ditto the Gösser beer as well. Thank you, I'll be back ⛷️📸

This is a large hotel in Bad Hofgastein. It has a thermal centre with sauna and pool, a residents lounge, a bar and a large restaurant serving traditional Austrian cuisine (welcome as my father was born in Vienna!) There is a small garden. The balconies have colourful window boxes which looks wonderful. The staff are cheerful and helpful. There are plenty of facilities on offer, including mountain guides and massage, for example. We had a large modern room with as requested a balcony and mountain views. We had half board, the best option as there aren’t really many restaurants, and all tend to serve similar cuisine. The town itself is fairly quiet, but there is a fine thermal complex and opportunities for walking in the mountains, with ravishing views. There are plenty of ski lifts, whisking one up to 6000 feet, to restaurants serving sustaining fare before you hit the well signposted and categorised trails. A definite recommendation for a summer holiday away from heat and crowds in a beautiful area. The ski season in winter would be good too.

We stayed in hotel Alpina for a ski trip, we were a group of 6 ,we had a slight mix up on arrival with rooms but that was cleared up quickly. This hotel is easily one of the best I've ever stayed in on a ski trip, the rooms are well equipped, comfortable, very quiet ,clean and warm. The staff are so helpful, friendly and attentive. We were on a half board stay so breakfast was very good great selection of bread, cheese, cereal, fruit, eggs, bacon, sausages, hams, juices, tea and coffee. We were also surprised to have after ski snacks in the afternoon which had soup,cakes etc. Evening meals were 4 courses with a big salad selection, soup, main course with 3 choices of meat, fish and vegetarian options followed by dessert. All in our group loved the food and they were happy to mix and match to accommodate tastes. Comfort rooms are definitely worth the few extra quid. The pool, sauna, steam room and wellness area are a lovely bonus after a long day skiing the only negative is kids being noisy. The hotel is about 10min walk to gondola but there is a bus stop just outside. The hotel has a boot and ski room but we used the lockers at the gondola or at the ski hire shop to store ours as its a lovely walk to the gondola and you might want to stop off without skis and boots. Hotel Alpina is a very traditional Austrian hotel but manages this tradition beautifully. I would highy recommend and would happily stay again. We had so much fun with the staff and manager.

I was with my family in Alpina from 08-14.01. Great location. One bus stop from ski lift. Bus station in front of hotel. Comfortable rooms. Great and variety food, especially for diner. Polite staff. Above 4 star

You always make our family most welcome with a lovely smile and you genuinely care and make our stay wonderful even though it was a short stay. The food is always great with varied meals. The staff in the restaurant work tirelessly to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you to the ladies that clean our rooms they are wonderful and do a fantastic job .We thank you to the moon and back and look forward to staying at this wonderful hotel. xxxxxxxx

We stayed at Hotel Alpina for a family ski holiday with a family of 4 (kids aged 5 and 7 yrs). We very much enjoyed our stay! The hotel is located about 10 mins walk to the lift, which was fine with the 2 kids. Breakfast offers everything we needed. Kids in particular loved the all options, (breadrolls, croissants, cereals, fruit, eggs etc) For dinner there is always a large saladbar with plenty of healthy choices. The soup and main courses were good, we mainly tried the fish and veggie options. Kids generally went for the fish option. So we haven t tried the kids menus. The staff was very kind and helpful. Special thanks to Christina! We definitely recommend to try one of Charley s cocktails at the bar as they are of proper cocktailbar quality! Pina Colada was our winner 😁. The lounges downstairs are very spacious and have relaxed chairs. The very nice swimmingpool was large enough for more families to play in and was warm. (Sometimes hotel swimmingpools can just be too cold) The sauna was pleasant. Room: We booked the double room comfort with separate living room, so the kids could sleep in the living room on a sofabed. This suited us perfectly as in the evening, when the kids were asleep, we could relax in the lounge downstairs. The matrassen are good (and we are quite critical). Plenty of space to unpack luggage in the room. There is an electric car charger. We would definitely stay here again, hopefully next year! Many thanks to all staff who this stay so enjoyable!
