Great place, but with 2 cons: 1. Insufficient hot water in the bathroom, despite the solar collectors 2. 1 liter of mineral water - 4 BGN, maybe because of the lack of an alternative where to buy it nearby

Lovely place with beautiful garden and great views into the mountains. Excellent food and really sweet and helpful family that put a lot of love and work into this little paradise. We feel lucky we found this place.

The hotel is very pleasent. The whole staff was very polite and prepared breakfast in advance having in mind our early wake up at 6:30. Will suggest the hotel to friends for sure and will come again.

Great comfortable hotel near the river and between the mountain of Apriltsi in Boulgaria

Good place. The staff was some kind of distracted and not so on point when serving.

Perfectly located as my base for the climb/hike to the nearby Mountain Botev and the peak. The Hotel had everything that i required and more, the room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean as was the bathroom

Breakfast and dinner was very tasty and inexpensive. I'm very satisfied with my visit and will stay again in the future

The hotel definitely needs a refresh asap. But! Food in the restaurant is homemade like in my grandma's house, people are super polite and make you feel comfortable, view is fantastic

Its a family hotel with really sweet and polite owners. There is a breakfast included in the price and it’s usually homemade banitza, pancakes (delicious) or smth else. The view is amazing! Perfect for relax

Located away from the main road and on top of a small hill the hotel also opens a great view towards the Balkan mountains and the magnificent Maragidik peak. The hosting family is very nice and hospitable

Great place with amazing food and great atmosphere. The only small issue was that the staff wasn't really keen on giving the guests a good experience they are nice people they just lacked the good positive attitude

Decent food overall, nice atmosphere, the service was OK. I would only point that we ordered fries which were pretty oily

If you fancy a swim ,there is a beautiful pool on site. Amazing place you won’t regret visiting it

There’s so much to do locally,especially if you like hiking,horse riding or just a dip in the river. The hotel provides breakfast and there’s a wonderful restaurant on the side of the free car park

Nice big beds. Humongous actually when you are single in a double room. The food wasn't as good as expected. Didn't even look appetizing. All in all subaverage.

Good and cheap place for your holidays

The place is great and located in one of the most beautiful spots in the mountains with crystal clear air and breathtaking view. But the real gem of the stay are the hosts! Thank you! We will definitely visit again.

Villa Verbena is a great place to relax and laze around, enjoy the peace and quiet, and the good food and wine; bear in mind that there's not much to do, so a long stay could get boring unless you're a keen hiker

Villa Verbena is a renovated old house offering no-frills comfort and convenience. It is situated on an old forest road along the Zla Reka river in the foothills of Central Balkan region at an altitude of ~650 m

The guesthouse is in a logging area, so the pleasure of walking into the mountain is spoilt by heavy trucks and other equipment that leave ugly scars in the woods and make a racket early in the morning

The trail heads to Botev Peak, Maragidik and others are 15-30 minutes away by car, but note that the access road to the property is seriously bad; drive slowly and choose your way with extra care

It is a family affair run by two generations; the hosts are friendly, hospitable and good fun to be with, and together with Bertha the dog and the cats easily make you feel at home

Nice place due to it's view and location. What I disliked was the small size of the bathroom and the fact that they didn't have any covid measures in the restaurant

Balconies are not fully separated so you can see and hear your neighbors which makes the whole magic of the place a bit uncomfortable

A bit shabby, but the view is marvellous. Food is simple but fresh and plentiful. It's very quiet and there are plenty of nature hikes and walks in the vicinity, though it's best to hire a car to get to them.

For example, the cucumber in the shopska salad (5+ leva) today was probably from an old salad - was already transparent and smelled like it stayed cut in the fridge for a long time

The place is great. The hotel is middle level. The staff - quite unfriendly. Cleanliness - not good enough. Facilities - limited. Restaurant - poor.

Very nice place in a very nice area. The yard is well maintained and it is well suited for children. The amenities are ok, nothing that one can miss but nothing fancy, more basic but good

For people with allergies, especially small children with severe allergies, IT'S AWESOME THAT THERE ARE NO PETS ALLOWED!

The food they offer is good and there a choice from menu for each day
