Good place. The staff was some kind of distracted and not so on point when serving.

Perfectly located as my base for the climb/hike to the nearby Mountain Botev and the peak. The Hotel had everything that i required and more, the room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean as was the bathroom

Breakfast and dinner was very tasty and inexpensive. I'm very satisfied with my visit and will stay again in the future

Good and cheap place for your holidays

The place is great and located in one of the most beautiful spots in the mountains with crystal clear air and breathtaking view. But the real gem of the stay are the hosts! Thank you! We will definitely visit again.

Villa Verbena is a great place to relax and laze around, enjoy the peace and quiet, and the good food and wine; bear in mind that there's not much to do, so a long stay could get boring unless you're a keen hiker

Villa Verbena is a renovated old house offering no-frills comfort and convenience. It is situated on an old forest road along the Zla Reka river in the foothills of Central Balkan region at an altitude of ~650 m

The guesthouse is in a logging area, so the pleasure of walking into the mountain is spoilt by heavy trucks and other equipment that leave ugly scars in the woods and make a racket early in the morning

The trail heads to Botev Peak, Maragidik and others are 15-30 minutes away by car, but note that the access road to the property is seriously bad; drive slowly and choose your way with extra care

It is a family affair run by two generations; the hosts are friendly, hospitable and good fun to be with, and together with Bertha the dog and the cats easily make you feel at home

Good service. There is swimming pool with cold water (it is not mineral one). The house is big, there is BBQ area outside.

The place is only 3 km away from the monastery and the owner offered to drive us there. We are here for Easter and it is a great experience. We will happily return when we are in this area again

The place is amazing and very well maintained. The beds are extremely comfortable for sleep. The host is very helpful with any questions you may have and he's always there to assist you with anything

Very nice complex, in a quiet place, suitable for families with children. The people who take care of its maintenance try very hard, extremely responsive and kind. The prices are pretty good.

The bathroom is somehow small and not very useful and is combined with toilet (where one star goes for the review). There are two pools: one inside and one outdoor. Mostly satisfied with everything in this hotel

We didnt get a chance to go to the indoor pool but they keep lovely hygiene for the outer area. I am pleased but there could be some improvements

Its a probably not reallu busy place so peaceful expirians. As not busy ill suspect that the rest of the reviews have a point. But dont worry im sure the staff will be helpful if situation like the one before

For me was great as i didnt want too much noice and didnt want to be in the city. So that was the perect choice for me

There is a lovely garden and the whole place is arranged in traditional Bulgarian style. The waitress was extremely kind. Highly recommended and can’t wait to be back!

This hotel us a good base to explore the area. Staff are helpful, plenty if parking space, good size rooms, bed is comfortable. The bathroom is a bit outdated.

The food served in Mehana Troyan, part of Troyan Plaza, was one of the best I have tried lately

A large lobby to the right with tables, chairs, loungers and a pool table ( free to use) and a small bar, everything clean and comfortable. We stayed in apartment 3A on the third floor

We tried the indoor swimming pool which was small but warm and had a full body aromatherapy massage each which was amazing, very well done, very professional, highly recommend

Now the good bit, the hotel was very understanding and made us a hot dinner, with drinks and deserts ready for us for when we arrived, absolutely amazing of them!!! On arrival the car parking is extremely limited but remember the snow so maybe it can be better, however free parking is available in the roads nearby

One thing that does need sorting out, that we have noticed in places in Bulgaria, is the smell from the central drain in the bathroom, this smell is bad and we knew that we would have to cover the drain, fortunately the smell went after leaving on the extraction unit for a few hours with the drain covered

We had landed in Sofia earlier in the day and were hit by the first real snow of the winter, this amounted to around 12 inches of snow and made us drive very slowly to the hotel, we actually arrived after midnight

One thing that I did not like was how there were fold-up beds stored in the corridor. The apartment was a very good size, large double room, large sitting room, hallway, a balcony and good size bathroom

The hotel room was great and clean, food in the restaurant was also ok, nothing fancy. The SPA and pool part where total sh**. The pool outside was being repaired, the inside one is very small and for children only

Now having said that the prices were a bit too much for the food considering the food choice and variety were lacking, the rooms were ok, nothing special but good enough i guess, the service was lacking for sure with a couple of forgotten and late orders but at least they were polite enough about it

Location wise it's fine i would say. View and atmosphere are good and perfect for a relaxing vacation

The hotel also has an inside pool, which is a big plus. The corridors are clean and the rooms, too. You can just get carried away and lose yourself in there

It is set in a really nice and quiet region. The air you breath, you can feel its cleanness. The service and the staff are also very kind and positive, always with a smile

I was mostly amazed by the bar having a really nice, polite, friendly and talkative personnel. The prices seemed a little high though. It is a good thing in general that they allow you to use the pool during the night

Hotel is in Chiflik village with open pool in which you can enjoy all night and watch the stars on the sky. the party starts around midnight with lots of alcohol and music. Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath also available

A relaxing mineral water spa in the Troyan region of Bulgaria. Standard rooms, wonderful mineral water pools of various temperatures, a spa center and surrounding forest and trails

Furniture is functional and clean but again will need to be replaced in the near future. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of dishes which were replenished regularly

Nice family hotel, the staff is very polite and friendly, the location is quiet and amazingly set in the forest, they have the pool with the best mineral water quality in the whole area ( we visited most of the pools in the area)

It has a sauna and other SPA facilities. the food is good and the service is perfect. The rooms have everything you need: towels,shampoo,hair drier. I am very happy with the pool as well

Would have been awesome but the pool was much colder and uncomfortable than last time, also somewhat dirty and in need of repair. Kudos for fixing the weak points, but don't ruin your greatest feature!

We went 2 years ago - the food was bad, rooms were in poor condition - but the swimming pool was amazingly hot and we had a great time

Descend quality, food is nice although furniture is slightly neglected, barman at the pool is arrogant and does not bother to help with anything

The how outside pool seems very nice for the winter time. The live music at the restaurant is not my thing, I prefer to be able to talk to and hear the people I am dining with. The inside pool was very clean

The biggest downside was the small(kids) pool was like 40 degrees Celsius or more. You can barely stay there more than 5 minutes and I doubt it's very safe for small kids. In general, we had a good time

Simple interior decoration and partially shabby swimming pools - the walls of the indoor pool area didn't look great and the tiles of the outdoor pool were partially fallen out

Nice place, very polite and good service. The rooms are average quality and there are small things to be corrected\repaired. The external pool is with great temperature, but the tiles and equipment is old and damaged

I been there for summer holiday,water is great,warm and clean,also mineral. All the facilities,parking included. Price to acces it are very affordable. Serving people professional and helpful

The best thing about this hotel was the great location. Other than that it needs renovation. Pillows and towels were stained and old. The bathroom was okay but the faucets and the tub glass were not cleaned well

The best outdoor pools in Hissar. The rooms are not well maintained, so mind the dirty carpet and bathroom. Breakfast is Ok but dine out in the city for lunch and dinner ;)

The spa center was good, there is a big swimming pool. But the small pools are too small and there aren't many sun chairs for such a big hotel

It was little detoru from our back from Cappadocia road trip. So we decide to come here for a spa day. The staff was kind, and the late check-out is great because you can use the morning to enjoy the spa and the pool

The room was old fashioned, there was a specific odour in the room and we found a cockroach, but the bed was very comfortable

Lots of space everywhere, the rooms are ok for 4 stars. Nice pool inside with very big space. The pool is deep and with corridors. Do not go on the restaurant on the 5th floor- nothing for a lot's of money

Highly recommend the Hotel Augusta Spa in Hissarya. Newly renovated rooms and lobby, very clean, staff very friendly and professional. mineral water, slide for children, different spa treatments, outside pool

The place is good for families and tourists that value quiet and comfort. The hotel has two buildings, indoor and outdoor mineral pools, a spa center, a good restaurant, and lots of recreational activities

The indoor pool is perfect for kids with its water slide, which is safe and fun for kids aged 6-14 years

We just use the swimming pool with kids, there is a slide inside. Little ones have it fun.

A large hotel, which in the past was on a level, but now the rooms are neglected, the corridors need urgent repair, there is a queue in the indoor pool and jacuzzi, the salt room is full and noisy

This time however we took a taxi from Plovdiv, it was about 50mins, well worth it. Spa usage was 35lv per person for a full day - indoor, outdoor and children's pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi all included

The hotel was very clean, the pool too. The staff was very nice and polite. The food in the restaurant was varied and very tasty. Unfortunately, the water in the pool was quite cold for mineral water

Visit Hissar If you planning to visit hissar, please do so, this is the hotel you should stay! Definitely worth!!! The spa, the room, restaurant everything was perfect of course the staff!!!

The kitchen is very good and the staff is really helpful and nice. The massages we booked were perfect. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much

They are building a new wing so the outdoor pool is closed because of it. The restaurant offers delicious food at reasonable prices. Breakfast was included in my stay and it was plentiful with lots of healthy options

The outdoor pool was still closed, ok, the outdoor hot water jacuzzi was working but it's really, really small for a hotel of this size and the use not organized so it's comfortable and available to everyone

This is an older property, so the rooms need an update, especially the bathrooms but they are still clean and spacious. The SPA is wonderful and had very good treatments

It has a decent size pool, 4 different types of sauna and a really nice outdoor hot-spring - all this was included in our room price, outside of that you could sing in for a few more relaxing activities

Wonderful place to relax! All pools and Jacuzzis have mineral water. Moreover, there are several amazing saunas. I would definitely recommend that place to any families and couples!

We loved our stay. Mark down as it appears that, since its new owner took over 14 years ago, there hasn't been a refurb. Space and food are great. Spa services too. We will be back.
