I appreciate that they are not wasting food only for opulence like they do in Turkey. Food is various, there are several options even for vegetarians or for those who prefer healthy food, but not exagerated. Beer is fresh and cold always, bartenders are young and friendly, good ice cream. All the rooms have sea view and is very nice. Plenty of parking spots.
2 minutes from the hotel entrance to the beach. Beach towels program is short in my opinion, 9-11 and 17-19.
CHECK IN AFTER 15 - very late. It could be 14.
Didn't like the toilet leaking, it was not very efficient so a lot of water waste. This should be fixed somehow.
Don't complain that the towels are not changed, they have to be placed on the floor to be changed, read the instructions in the bathroom.

I was at the property after a walk on the beach. I liked the facility very much so I decided to look around for my next trip to Bulgaria. But suddenly a security guy showed up and yelled at me and even got physical. Fortunately my boyfriend was there. I had such panic because I did not know what I did wrong. I tryed to explain that I just wanted to look at the property for next vacation. I've never ever was in such a weird and frightening situation . Is it casual in Bulgaria to get physical on ppl , neither help them when they get lost in this huge property. I was so close to call the police but who Wanna crsh their own vacation. It's just so disrespectful I've never had such a bad experience like in Bulgaria

I've reserved directly on the HVD website, I recommend you to do the same at better rates compared to Booking. For our pleasant surprise we've been upgraded from family room to maisonette. The maisonette consist into the first floor, a living, bathroom and terrace, on the upper floor two rooms and two bathrooms. One of the rooms have the bathroom inside.
The rooms are really spacious and have everything you need.
The view is amazing too.
The hotel it is right on the beach, inside a pine forrest, part of a group of HVD hotels. So, it is safe to walk around into the park.
Food is good, on all the tastes..
Also, a very big plus..yhe the drinks were quality, not some low quality..a really big plus.
Now let's talk about some aspects, the refill of the minibar was done only ones after I've complained several times. No room cleaning during the 5 days.

We had a family room, for 3 adults and a newborn.
We appreciated the guarded parking, but the parking spots are insufficient. We ended parking on the pavement towards the restaurant.
There were 2 joined rooms, with a door that couldn’t be closed between. Kind of strange, considering the door was not mounted correctly.
The bathrooms had a bad smell inside. On one of the bathrooms the fan was not working.
In terms of cleaning, the clean lady just changed the towels and made the beds. We would have expected a bit more cleaning of the room, like using the vacuum cleaner daily along with doing the cleaning earlier in the day and not post lunch. Also, toilet paper provided was never enough and I had to keep asking for more. Is this a luxury product in Bulgaria, or is it an issue only in your resort? I have never seen in a 5* hotel such a terrible service.
In terms of mini bar stocking, the rules in place are just ridiculous. Having 2 bottles of water of 1.5 liter per day for 3 adults it’s too low and the refill person couldn’t provide more. This is again pathetic for a 5* hotel with ultra all inclusive. It’s water, not beer, wine or caviar.
In terms of restaurant, all was ok until more people checked in. In those times the staff was overwhelmed and the items provided ran out. Also, the restaurant opening hours are too low for 5* rating.
Lastly, we asked for the newborn:
A bed and a washing extension. We got a dirty bed, toiletries and a general purpose bowl (I added a picture of it). We couldn’t use the bed and the bowl for safety reasons.
I also asked before checking out to have 2 freeze batteries frozen for the road (to keep the mother milk cold) but we were sent from the bar to the reception and back and refused in the end.
For sure we won’t visit this hotel again.

Riviera Beach is a hidden gem in Golden Sands. It was bought by the HVD group last year, and since then, the overall quality has improved drastically. The rooms are just what you would expect; however, each one has a view of the sea, and watching the sunrise is a truly unique experience. The restaurant was fantastic - there was a wide variety of food options to suit every taste. The food was also always warm and fresh. Since the hotel sits on private property, you can only find guests on the beach and around the hotel. The staff was also excellent - the rooms were always kept clean, the reception staff were kind and ready to solve any problems, and the servers and bartenders were friendly and joking around to make you feel even more comfortable. The animation staff were also one of the friendliest I have ever met, and the activities they organise are always enjoyable. They genuinely make you feel appreciated. Another notable detail is that the bar operates from 08:00 to 01:00 and offers a diverse selection of drinks and cocktails.
Overall, I recommend this hotel to anybody looking for calmness near the Bulgarian Black Sea. I loved the place and would like to return sometime soon. Its quality is something you would not experience every day. However, always be on the lookout for last-minute deals, as this may allow you to save up to 35% off the original price.

One of the best experiences i’ve ever had, out of the ordinary staff, so kind and lovely to communicate with, especially the girls at the reception. High quality beds and so many services. I highly recommend it!!

Stayed 3 nights in June 2025. No air conditioning. Open the balcony, still hot and bugs rush in. Room service never swept the floors. Rooms smell old and furniture is really old. Door magnetic cards only work once a day, then you need to walk back to reception to get new ones. This whole place needs a do over.

Excellent Easter weekend stay here. Would come again if the price is reasonable.
We were due to stay at the 4-star Nympha Hotel, but we got upgraded to 5-star Riviera Beach Hotel. Riviera Beach may have been 5 stars once, but it's not quite 5 stars nowadays. It's an old hotel, somewhat renovated.
Rooms are large, spacious. All rooms have a sea view, but for 1st floor rooms the view is somewhat obscured by the awning. Rooms have all the necessary amenities, spa towels, etc. But the mattresses are quite hard and uncomfortable.
Food and drink is good and plentiful. Lots of variety and no limits on consumption. French wine, and several brands of hard alcohol available. The buffet restaurant was excellent. The a la carte restaurant was disappointing - dont waste a meal there.
Location is good if you won't be leaving the resort during your stay. The resort has spacious grounds for walks and a private beach. Attractions are at least 10mins away by car.
Service is good all around the hotel. All staff were extra polite and considerate.
Gym is small but it has everything required for a training session.
The spa facilities we didn't try out.

This is a hotel I know for a long time. Perfect location, big rooms with sea view only, mineral water pools, 25000 mp of private beach, 18000 mp of secular forest and now a new management. Perfection!

Called for an offer for one week everyday and sent emails as they asked to do. They said they will come back with an answer but never did. When I called because the trip was in 2 days they said to wait again and hung the phone up in my face. When was the offer coming? In the day of the trip?!. Is this how a receptionist is supposed to act with a potential client? Is this how guests are being treated in that hotel?
