Our stay was excellent! The facilities are clean and the service ourstanding. We were so touched and surprised by the display and treats for our anniversary, such a nice way to start our celebration. This was our first stay on a gold floor and at a Fairmont hotel in general - we will be back! We loved the the separate check-in, this felt very boutique like and personalized. The gold lounge food and coffee was very well done. Great location to excellent dining and attractions. Thanks!!

My husband stopped at the hotel between meetings to check in and brought me the key card since I would be arriving with our child before him. He also put in the reservation notes that I would be coming with our child.

When I arrived, I was carrying my child and a car seat and simply asked the front desk what floor our room was on. She told me the floor number — then abruptly stopped me and demanded my husband’s name. After I gave it, she said she needed to call him to “make sure I was allowed” in the room.

I was already holding a working key card.

Instead of calling him (who was in meetings), she began calling the room — meaning she was essentially calling me — and saying it was “for guest safety.” I had to tell her, again, to call my husband if that’s what she felt was necessary.

It was extremely uncomfortable and honestly frustrating to feel like I needed my husband’s “permission” to access a room that had already been checked in and that I had a key for. Especially while standing there juggling a child and a car seat. It felt unnecessary, awkward, and poorly handled.

I understand safety policies — but there is a way to enforce them without making a guest feel interrogated or distrusted.

On top of that, for the price, the amenities were disappointing. They charge extra for bottled water. There were virtually no toiletries provided beyond the absolute basics — no makeup remover wipes, no mouthwash, nothing. The shampoo and conditioner in the room were nearly empty.

Overall, this stay did not feel worth the cost, and the front desk interaction left a very negative first impression.

Our stay was beyond our expectations. The service was of a high standard and above all other Fairmont properties that we have stayed at. Any room service calls were answered promptly and within minutes what we needed was at our door. Every staff member from the time just before entering the hotel to our room acknowledged and smiled. Very welcoming environment. Well done to all the staff and the management staff for ensuring high quality standards with every guest.

Everything was simply wonderful during our visit. The breakfasts were superb! The rooms were clean and spacious. The views were absolutely stunning! The only thing I would recommend is updating the hot tub and pool area—they stand out a bit from the overall experience. Otherwise, our stay at the hotel was just perfect!

Aside from the location, I didn't notice anything particularly special. After checking in, there wasn't even a bathrobe in the room, so I had to ask for one. Overall, it's a clean and simple hotel.

Very convenient location with an amazing view of the harbor. Most popular restaurants are within a decent walking distance. The Christmas Market is just around the corner from the hotel and there is a beautiful view of the water with city lights on the opposite side of the city, which makes evening strolls very fun and perfect for pictures. We felt very safe walking around the area as well.

Despite the location being in the city, Fairmont Waterfront is located on a quiet street, so there was very little noise in the evening that may disturb rest time.

Overnight parking was quite pricey but we did not have a problem finding a spot. Would recommend paying in advance yourself at the pay stations to save yourself some extra cash vs. paying at the desk when checking in for your room.

The rooms were very clean and the bathroom counter space was spacious and perfect for getting ready. There’s also a magnified mirror that lights up for makeup. Services and amenities were excellent! We had all of our requests for services and replenishments fulfilled fairly quickly and the staff went above and beyond.

Would definitely consider staying at this hotel again when planning another trip to Vancouver.

The location was great, very close to Waterfront Station, which made it perfect for sightseeing. The facilities were also very pleasant and the staff were friendly, which added to the positive experience.

We had to wait a bit at the crowded entrance before anyone acknowledged us but once we were meeting by the host it was a great experience. Awesome food and service. Eggs Benedict, french toast, deep dish all were amazing!

We think this restaurant is great. The food is great, the locations easy to reach and a comfy warm atmosphere. We love their little personal pizza's and dessert is a must have!

I was surprised at the overall mediocrity of the food, considering the consistently high ratings.

I had their "Big Breakfast", which gets you scrambled eggs, toast, roasted potatoes, and your choice of bacon, sausage, or ham. All of this for $15. I got the sausage, and everything was simply alright. I wasn't blown away by anything - it struck me as a similar quality to Denny's, where I would have got more food for less money.

My girlfriend had the classic Eggs Benedict, which is supposedly one of their signature dishes. It was initially cooked too much and had to be sent back. Upon the second attempt, the hollandaise had a strange, almost sour tang to it. While it was tasty, how anyone could say that was the "best eggs Benedict in Vancouver" is beyond me.

The service was fairly prompt, and the host was very friendly, but overall, I cant say I was too impressed, and I don't see myself going back.

The best service I've ever experienced at a restaurant and the cheeseburger I had was amazing. We had maybe been waiting 20 mins for our food, when the manager came up and profusely apologized for us having to wait so long (which I didn't think we had been waiting long at all) and offered to pay for our drinks and gave us free dessert. It's the only restaurant I have ever been to where they seem to actually appreciate their customers. We had just been visiting from Calgary, but the next time we're in Vancouver we will definitely be going back. Oh and the cheesecake is the most delicious thing I have ever tasted.

Rogue burger costs $20 (tax+%10 tip included). Juiciest burger patty in town. Fries are on the thicker side. Sesame bun adds to the flavour, and pickle lovers won’t be disappointed. Only downside is the ridiculously high tables that dominate most of the restaurant.

Met friends for Tappas today and enjoyed them very much. I had my favourite Lobster Mac and cheese and bread with hummus. Our visit was lovely and the food very satisfying. The noise is always a minus due to the high ceilings. It can't be helped. This is a very central location to reach from the skytrain and brings friends together. Thanks again for the food favourites.

A group of friends and I came here after seeing a show and the hostess that helped us was nice and found us a table despite it being busy. We all ordered drinks and they were okay, same with the food. I ordered the Fries x3 and they were a little bland, my sangria tastes like it barely had any alcohol. I also ordered the blackened chicken burger to go. Like another reviewer said, for $15 you'd expect a regular burger bun and not a tiny slider bun. Our server Catherine was super awesome tho.

Amazing service. Once I figured out I could walk right in and sit myself in lounge. Served right away and let my server know I was waiting for the train. She was amazing and asked what time my train left. So she could keep an eye on me so if I needed another drink or needed to get out and not wait for her to pay. Thanks for personalizing my visit and paying attention to my needs Aileen! Not to mention a fabulous G&T (yes it is possible to screw those up)
