A gem of a historic hotel in the heart of Gastown. The rooms are clean, and crisp just like the linens. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Th front doors are always locked since it is a downtown location and this is a small is boutique hotel Whig is the beta description for it. There is a lot of history to the existing two buildings which have been renovated and modernized while still retaining the charm of the origin building. The only downside is that if you are in one the rooms on the lower two floors at the back there is outside mechanical equipment which can be heard constantly. For me this was a problem as I am audio sensitive but for others this won’t be a problem. My partner treated me to a romantic weekend package which included a bottle of bubbly, roses in the room, included secure parking and late checkout; good value for $100 up charge. This place is constantly booked and definitely worth the stay when in vancouver. Oh and yes it does have an elevator!

Immaculate. Housekeeping should be commended. All the front desk staff were professional and extremely helpful. This is an intriguing historical property completely renovated with every modern convenience. I would stay every time I'm in Vancouver.

Love it here at Victorian. Our first time in downtown Vancouver. It’s a boutique hotel but seemed like they recently did some renovations. Everything’s so clean, soundproof was good. We stayed in a king room. Bed was big and spotless. Shower was clean, water was hot with good water pressure. Capsule coffee machine in room and by the elevator on first floor. Free bottle water in room with refill water machine by the elevator as well.
An umbrella was also provided given that it rains so much in Vancouver.

Front desk was friendly, helpful and greeted us nicely upon arrival.

Only downside was probably the amount of homeless ppl doing drugs around. But location wise is good, very closed to steam clock in Gastown with plenty of cafe and clothing stores nearby. Buses nearby and about eight minutes walk to train station. Overall very pleasant stay.

Room was clean and cute. Perfect for one or two if you’re packing light. Central to everywhere I wanted to check out. Walking distance to Chinatown, Gastown, Robson st. I would stay here again.

Beautifully updated hotel with friendly staff. Off the beaten path but just a block or two from everything. Just a short walk or ride share.

Staff was courteous and room was clean. There’s also available plates/cutleries and umbrella for guests to borrow during stay.

One of my favorite hotels I have ever stayed in, cozy and polite. Staff are supportive and informative. The rooms are homely and comfortable with all the amenities. I wish I could take a robe with me. You guys have been the best for the past several years.

Large, comfortable room with 2 double beds. Modern clean bathroom. Front desk staff were helpful but understaffed; there were times when no one was there and no one answered the phone. The heat in our room wasn’t working and couldn’t be fixed overnight. They provided extra blankets which did the trick. Overall, a nice boutique hotel.

Excellent hotel. We were a family of 6 in two rooms. The rooms were large with very comfortable beds and very clean. Mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Warm. Great location, with a supermarket nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They accommodated all our requests quickly and generously. Reasonably priced. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend this gorgeous hotel.

The staff were very friendly. They provided us with bowls, forks, and spoons when we needed them. The hotel is very close to the gas clock and gas station.

The food combos here are inexpensive, prepared quickly and healthy (depending on your selection). Staff are nice as well. Only complaint is that the hot food isn't always evenly heated. A really nice place to grab lunch with friends or co-workers.

As Program Coordinator at a major Film school here in Vancouver, we rely on Bonchaz for our catering needs. They have been nothing but perfect and very accommodating. They are always on time and the food is delicious. We recommend them to all of our contacts here in Vancouver. Great job Bonchaz!

The best lunch spot in Gastown that you probably haven't heard of. $9 gets you an amazing combo: any two entrees. I usually get a quiche and a sandwich, and boy oh boy it's delicious. Plus an additional 10% off with a student ID. All items are made in house and are super fresh.

Great modest place with coffee just right and a tasty selection of sandwiches, food and treats. You gotta try the bonchaz!

What a true gem to discover. I love finding places like this. Baked goods were reasonably priced and the brioche was delicious.

Such a nice place to get beer and pub food, and watch a hockey game. Been going here for years, have seen changes but only for the better.

It is what is. A pretty good pub and that’s about it. But why else would you go?

Good beer selection here, happy hours between 3-6 and 9-12 I believe. Usually lively but can find a seat.

Was here for beers and a quick bite. Beer and service was good. We had pizza and calamari which was edible but not very good.
