Been here for 5 weeks tomorrow because of a family medical workplace accident. We are from Vancouver Island and watching first hand how they treat people that stay here because of medical issues at VGH and it’s amazing!!!

Very comfortable beds, generous sized rooms, staff were great and very helpful, always attentive and friendly.
Good area for cafe’s and all amenities.
Definitely stay again.

This hotel was absolutely amazing to us! We were there for my mother’s knee replacement at VGH but I broke my leg in the airport on the way to the hotel. My (low mobility) mother had to arrive alone by cab but was greeted and helped in any way she needed. Upon my arrival the next day from hospital the hotel happily supplied us with our every ask including a raised toilet seat and shower chair. Most hotels don’t carry these things. The food from the restaurant was great and came promptly through room service. All the staff were pleasant and happy to accommodate all things. We were very thankful for the hotel and staff!

We knew this was an older hotel, but we booked here because of its location to the hospital. Even with my husband's limited mobility, he was able to walk to the hospital and then return to the hotel for a nap- absolutely perfect for us. The room met all our needs other than the TV was not 'smart' so we couldn't watch Netflix.

The room was very cozy, with excellent hot water and a powerful air conditioner. The bedding was good, and its central location made it convenient for getting anywhere. Thumbs up, I'd stay here again next time.

Best choice for those attending Vancouver General Hospital or the Cancer clinic.
Though exterior and lobby look a bit tired, the rooms are clean, comfortable, and functional. The restaurant looks a bit sketchy though we did not find there. Cactus Club is one block away for a decent and reliable meal.
Pool and exercise room onsite along with a business centre
This is a more than adequate and relaxed place to stay. A bit of caution in the area as there are some bad actors in the vicinity of the hotel.
Note to management: Mattress reaching end of useful life in 812.

We didn't have a reservation but were there as the doors opened at 5pm. We were told we could be seated but only if we could be finished by 6:15. That was a bit off putting but we were certain that would not be a problem so went in. In the interest of time we asked our waiter for recommendations, one beef and one seafood. He pointed out beef brisket and Seafood on crispy rice noodles. The brisket was the best food I have EVER eaten. It melted in your mouth. Unbelievable. Served simply on a bed of cucumber. The seafood was also excellent, cooked just right and plentiful. There were scallops, squid, shrimp and cod. The noodles were just right. All in all, spectacular!!!

The BEST. I have only been here for Dim Sum, and the dim sum is as delicious as it is beautiful. The people here work very hard to keep up with it's reputation. Weekends are totally crazy busy. I prefer a quieter week day latish lunch for a little less crowed vibe.
I have been told that main menu is equally fantastic especially if you come with a group and have a native speaker order you special sea foods ahead of time.

Been here for several times and last night We had the set dinner menu. That was a good decision. Never a disappointment. Service was decent, and the food came very fast. Chicken in abalone sauce was the highlight.

Fantastic experience! Four of us went without a reservation and they accommodated us quickly; they were always quick despite being completely full due to a party.

The Jumbo Shrimp is Spicy Sauce and Sauteed Beef Tenderloin with Basil were some of my favourite dishes!

Dynasty seafood restaurant is located on West Broadway Street downtown, which is one of the busiest streets in Vancouver. There are lots of restaurants on this street. My American friend really wants to eat Dim Sum downtown, so we did research online. We found Dynasty Seafood Restaurant has the best review, so we decided to go. The location is very convenience and easy for people to find. We arrived the restaurant before 11 am. The restaurant was not full. Luckily, we got a table and began our order. The restaurant has very fancy design and the menu is very simple and easy to understand. There are not too many morning dim sum selections on the menu, mostly are lunch and dinner. The price of food is a little bit expensive. We had couple dishes, like BBQ Pork Bakery, Shrimp Dumplings, Beef tendon, and etc. The taste of the food was OK, decent. They were not too excited.

Unfortunately, I have no choice but to give this a one star. My preference would have been to give this location zero stars, but then, the system doesn't allow me to post a review.

Very dirty, in general. Staff was rude and very unprofessional-huddled in the corner and laughed at us. Service was poor. Emmet, our waiter also belittled us, when we expressed our concerns to him. When we called the manager, Andy, he was also very immature and failed to acknowledge our concerns. Definitely not going back! Definitely worth going to other locations or Tamarind Hill!!

Had the 7-course meal. I was stunned! It was the best food I have EVER tasted! The servers were attentive and pleasant, and the food was phenomenal, if I could give more stars, I would.

Been here many times and have never had a bad experience. Staff is very friendly and attentive. And the food is always good and comes in good portion sizes. You will not leave hungry. A little expensive, but the food is definitely worth the extra couple bucks. Only thing that sucks is all locations don't have the exact same menu. The location on Denman St has Peppercorn Garlic Prawns over crispy noodles with dried fish. Its one of the best things I've ever tasted and unfortunately, is only available at that one location. Otherwise its great.

Always enjoy every Cactus I go to... very disappointed with this location. Single person order and it was all messed up, each item from the same dish then came out separately. Then given the bill and server did not come back to take the payment for 15 minutes. Ordered a Double Brazilian and it was watered down. Overall bad experience.

Dad had his bday lunch here and the server overheard and got him a little bday dessert. Service was great and the food was delicious. Loved the blackened creole chicken, truffle fries and chocolate peanut butter crunch ♡

The staff at this location are an amazing group of people. Friendly efficient and hard working. Jenn Ly, the bartender, is always welcoming , fun and cheerful whenever I visit. Very much worth a visit or three! Best wings in town!
