The room was clean and tidy, with plenty of space. The shower and toilet were separate, which was a nice touch. It had a window for ventilation and a great view too.

Booked into a Business Room at the Laurel Hotel. I did see a few other types of accommodation but these situated on the top floors are modern, clean and well equiped and should be your preferred option. The Hotel is a few hundred yards from the local Subway giving you access across the city as well as a large Supermarket and numerous restaurants. Staff were great on the front desk and a mention also to the “waiters” who looked after the rooms and kept them spotless. My only negative was that the aircon didn’t work ( or was switched off ) and when it’s 25 to 28 degrees every day, the rooms can become unbearable. Anyway we have rebooked for next week and yes they do allow foreigners to stay ( unlike others ) Didn’t eat on site so cannot comment about the food. I did see a gym and there is a 24 hour shop on site for those emergency items. Enjoy….

Pros: Great location right by the subway, with plenty of shopping and dining options downstairs. The staff were also quite friendly. Cons: The facilities are a bit old, and there's a serious lack of storage space. Also, when the water dispenser ran out of cups, no one seemed to bother replenishing them. For a four-star hotel, serving cheap Ice Dew bottled water feels a bit low-class. On a personal note, I really dislike having to pay a deposit.

I checked in around 4 AM. Around 7 AM, there was a wedding next door, which was really noisy, but I guess that's understandable. What I don't understand is why the hotel, knowing there was a wedding, still put me right next to it when I checked in so early. Just as the noise died down and I finally fell asleep, the cleaning staff knocked on my door at 9 AM asking if I needed cleaning. The shower drain was also incredibly slow, causing water to pool up after showering. Overall, it was a complete mess.

The navigation led us right to the hotel entrance, and there were plenty of parking spaces. We had a lot of luggage, so Manager Xu kindly helped us with our cards to get to our room upstairs. The service was excellent and very warm! We'll definitely be staying here again.

After checking out, I realized I'd left my ID at the hotel. I urgently contacted the front desk, and staff member Xiao Jia quickly located it and kept it safe. They even thoughtfully arranged for it to be mailed or offered to hold it until I could pick it up. The service was dedicated and responsible, communication was smooth throughout, and the handling was efficient and considerate. It made me feel incredibly reassured and they were very reliable! 👍

The front desk manager, Mr./Ms. Wang, was incredibly kind and gentle. Check-in was super fast, and they even proactively shared information about local attractions and breakfast times, which was very thoughtful. The room hygiene was also excellent, making for a very comfortable stay.

This hotel, located near my home, has been around for many years. I never thought much of it before, but I recently stayed for a few days and was impressed by how new and clean the facilities are. The staff, from the front desk to housekeeping and even the electrician, seemed professionally trained and provided excellent, patient service. I'm sensitive to noise, and the kind housekeeper, Li Qiaozhi (or perhaps Li Qiaoling), went out of her way to help me switch rooms. I'm very grateful to her.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from the subway station, making it very convenient to get to Beijing South Railway Station. There are many shopping malls and restaurants nearby. If you prefer to stay in, there's a hotpot restaurant on the third floor of the hotel with pretty good food. The hotel also has a breakfast restaurant, but you need to purchase breakfast vouchers separately, and the variety is quite rich. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, with a self-service laundry room and a gym. Ms. Ma at the front desk was very responsible and enthusiastic, helping me with directions. Overall, my experience was perfect!

I have to rave about the service here! I was traveling with my elderly parents during check-in, and Manager Wang at the front desk proactively helped us with our luggage, arranged a quiet floor for us, and even thoughtfully prepared non-slip slippers and emergency medicine. The housekeeping auntie cleaned our room spotlessly every day, and even neatly organized my charger that I'd just left lying around. This kind of warm, 'home away from home' feeling is far more memorable than any fancy amenities.

As good or better than the Starbucks in America. The staff is kind and very helpful. They speak a decent amount of English as well.
