City Inn in Shenzhen

It is a budge t hotel, don't expect much.
Breakfast options were very limited, they were clearly short of staff because the two ladies serving breakfast could not manage to prepare the food in time. They ran out of salad and tomatoes halfway through, The coffee machine broke on the first day of our stay and wasn't fixed so we had to get coffee somewhere else.

The environment is just so-so, and at this price, it's really not worth it. The room was a bit run-down with no repairs, and there was a musty smell. I'd definitely recommend staying at a regular hotel instead; this one is not really recommended!

The hotel's location is a bit out of the way, so we had to take a taxi everywhere. The soundproofing in the rooms is terrible; the people upstairs kept dropping things, and we could hear the TV and conversations from the next room very clearly. Even people talking outside on the street were loud. The bed was so hard it made my back ache. From the moment we entered, the hallways and rooms reeked of dampness and mildew, like a basement. The price was over 100 RMB more expensive than other places, and for such a high price, it was absolutely not worth it! This is also the first time I've heard of a hotel charging for laundry. What's even more ridiculous is that the hand soap in the dispenser was just watered-down soap, all suds and no actual soap! All in all, this was the worst hotel experience of our trip, with absolutely no value for money.
