The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful in forwarding for us our request for airport pickup by the next hotel. Along the way, they fixed a few problems with my cellphone.
The room was clean and everything worked.
The hotel is recessed from the main street, so it was very quiet.
The hotel offers pickup and drop off at the Hongchiao airport and train station although this offer was not made available when booking at Trip.com.
Now the cons:
Breakfast was a little sparse, below our expectation of the Ji Hotel.
The area appears to be in an industrial with no residential building in sight. The few restaurants nearby were either closed for business or not operating, limiting the choice.
The hotel's location is a bit tricky. It's directly under a flight path, making it incredibly noisy – it felt like the planes were so low, you could almost touch them from the roof! It only quieted down a little after midnight.
1. The cafe next to the lobby was excellent.
2. The airport shuttle service is quite limited: drop-offs are only from 6 AM to 10 AM, and pick-ups are only available during a few afternoon slots. The nearest metro station is 1.3 km away, which is a bit of a walk.
3. Breakfast offered a good variety of options, which was a big plus.
