The hotel is not new, the breakfast is terrible, there is no iron or steamer, laundry is paid, they gave slippers once and that's it, the rooms are not super clean, the floors are dirty.

At approximately $30 USD per night, it was very attractive to me, as I wanted to save money while prioritizing convenience. Upon entering the hotel, I was struck by the single receptionist on the entire second floor, highlighting the minimal staffing. Check-in was quick and efficient; the staff were friendly, and I received my room key promptly. The room, while not spacious, was reasonably laid out, clean, and tidy, though there was an occasional smell of smoke, and the floorboards were slightly unstable and made a creaking sound. For this price, it was acceptable. The room facilities met my basic needs, and the soft, comfortable bed allowed me to rest well after a long day, although the lack of a table and chairs was a bit of a disappointment. The room's decor was somewhat monotonous, lacking a warm atmosphere. The hotel breakfast was even more minimalist, consisting of only a microwave-heated bun. Initially, I was a little disappointed, but after tasting it, I found the flavor quite good. Although there weren't many drinks to choose from, it provided some energy for a busy morning. It's worth mentioning that there's a foot massage parlor on the third floor of the hotel. After my exam, I went to try it out. The environment was warm and comfortable. I found a skilled male masseur whose pressure was just right. With soft music and subtle aromatherapy, my tense nerves gradually relaxed, and the fatigue of the day dissipated. While the Haiyou Hotel doesn't have luxurious decor or abundant facilities, its simple style has a unique charm. It provides basic accommodation at an affordable price, offering a safe and comfortable place to stay during a busy journey. For travelers like me who value cost-effectiveness and convenience, the Haiyou Hotel is undoubtedly a good choice. Here, I experienced a different rhythm of Shanghai—simple yet warm—allowing me to have a relaxing and pleasant time after my exams.

This hotel is new and cozy. The front desk has self-service hot water, which is essential in winter – a thoughtful touch. Check-in was quick, and the staff were very patient, answering all my questions and introducing fun places to visit in Shanghai. The receptionist was very welcoming. There are many good restaurants downstairs, and it's close to the subway station, just a few hundred meters away, making it very convenient. There's also a Wenfeng Plaza nearby with plenty of dining options. The hotel offers great value for money, the rooms are clean, the facilities are new, the bathroom has fast water pressure, and the cleaning staff kept the room spotless. The service was very friendly. I stayed for two days and had a great experience – excellent value for money. Thumbs up!
