Leon Hotel Tianzifang in Shanghai

The location is fantastic, right on Middle Huaihai Road, with lovely views from the window. They have an ice machine and water dispenser in the common areas, which is very convenient. It's super easy to pick up deliveries and takeaways, and the environment is kept very clean.

Even though our room was next to the bathroom, it wasn't noisy at all. The bathroom was very spacious with several separate stalls, and the toilet was super clean, the cleaning staff kept it immaculate! While the room didn't have a window, it didn't bother us much. Getting in and out of the top bunk wasn't difficult either. Overall, we had a fantastic experience.

The room was great, the bedding was super comfortable, and the location was excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere. The price was also very reasonable. The room felt new and was very clean. Overall, it was a great stay!

The location in Xuhui District is very convenient. The room size was just right, offering great privacy, which made for a very relaxing stay. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shanghai.

The duvet is super soft, making it easy to fall asleep. It's quite close to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the metro, which is very convenient for those on business trips or attending classes here. This is my second time staying. Sometimes you might get a room without a window. The soundproofing is generally good.

The hygiene was great, and the front desk staff and cleaning ladies were very friendly. However, there's only one elevator, which was quite inconvenient and led to very long waits. In the rooms, especially for the top bunk, the ladder is installed very close to the wooden board, making it difficult to climb up and down. The rooms aren't separated by gender, so you might encounter people of the opposite sex in the hallway after showering. If that bothers you, you might want to look elsewhere. Although it's an enclosed room, it doesn't feel stuffy if you turn on the fan to a high setting. The location is excellent, very close to the subway station, making travel quite convenient. Overall, it's a very, very good place 👍🏻

Much better than expected! While there's still some noise, it's generally pretty quiet. The only thing is the door opening and closing can be quite loud. It's easy to find, and the subway station is just across the street.

This was my first time staying in a hostel, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience!

I was in Shanghai for a concert, and hotels were too expensive, so I booked this hostel just to try it out.

The location is superb – right by the Changshu Road subway exit. There are many coffee shops downstairs, and lots of old mansions nearby, with plenty of great places to eat, explore, and do some city walking~

After checking in, a staff member showed me to my room and helped explain the locations of the washrooms, toilets, and showers. The room also came with a set of disposable toiletries. In the common areas, there was always a cleaning lady tidying up, and the restrooms were disinfected after each use, which was incredibly thoughtful!

It’s also very close to the Mercedes-Benz Arena, making it convenient to get anywhere!

I got back after the concert close to midnight, and there were many girls in the washroom area removing their makeup. I didn't have to worry about safety at all. The female and male washroom areas are far apart, and I didn't see any male guests during my stay, which is great for female travelers. After 11 PM, the hair dryers are put away, and the outlets are locked, so no noise disturbs anyone's rest.

The room was very clean. If someone with潔癖 (germophobia) thinks it's clean, then it's *really* clean. The bedding was very comfortable, and climbing to the top bunk was easy. The room wasn't big, but it was just enough for one person, which made me feel very secure.

Regarding soundproofing, if you're a very light sleeper, I wouldn't recommend it, as there can be some noise. However, I personally found it fine; I slept very comfortably. I only heard people opening and closing doors, but not sounds from the adjacent rooms.

The reception floor has facilities for picking up packages and food deliveries, as well as a common area to relax. It's on a high floor with a great view. There's also a self-service bar for drinks, which I didn't try this time, but I might next time~.

Regarding age restrictions, it seems they don't host very young children or very elderly people, but unlike some other hostels, there's no 35-year-old age limit, which is also fantastic!

This stay was so good that I almost didn't want to leave this little 'nest'~ I've always wanted to spend more days exploring Shanghai, and next time I visit, I'll definitely consider staying here again. I absolutely loved it!
