I can't say enough good things about this property. Beware of others claiming to be "5 stars" - many are not. The reception was exceptional, the room was nice and clean and it has a great location. The executive lounge is one of the best I've ever tried and well worth it. Truly an oasis to return to after a busy day.

The pool at this hotel was amazing. And the proximity to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City can't be beat. You definitely felt like you were being watched all the time as an American, I'm sure you were. It was difficult to upload data to social media as I assume the Chinese government verified it before it could be uploaded, which was an experience in itself. The hotel was a great location for sightseeing and shopping at the malls. Shopping centers are huge and completely empty! I don't understand how they could all be so empty. Prices are slightly higher for diane von furstenberg, toms, La Perla and other stores in Europe and the USA. This is about 20% more expensive than it would be in Europe or North America for the same goods. All this fascinated me. I would only see a few people in these stores in a day, but a large store would have about 20 workers. Customer service was very good with so many people helping. I would love to go back someday if the Americans/Europeans were allowed back.

We dined at the "award winning" restaurant Da Giorgio. The price was incredibly expensive compared to other high class restaurants in North America. Our experience with the Made in China restaurant and their Cantonese restaurant, Noble Court convinced us to try at the Da Giorgio. The experience was disappointing. The pasta was not up to standard. The main courses were barely acceptable but edible. Otherwise, a beautiful hotel in a great location. The swimming pool was very unique and gorgeous. Highly recommended to check it out but stay away from the Da Giorgio.

The fountain got a bit famous for a Chinese film - "33 days after breakup". Other than that, the office buildings and shopping centers could be a contrast to the nearby Wangfujing.

One of the biggest Hyaat Series in the world, i have spent nights over a place that have everything underneath it !!!! Example the metro... and a Mall !!!! And the best the amazing swimming pool underground level 2 like an aquatic place.....love it, and special thanks to the Algerian Boss for the great hospitality ?

Best hotel pool I’ve ever seen. Beautiful tropical area underground. Great location, helpful staff and delicious breakfast. Comfortable room with small and dated bathroom. We also had Peking Duck at Made in China restaurant inside the hotel and it was an experience.

Convenient Club Floor and Lounge (can't go wrong on the nightly snacks). Great in-hotel restaurants - love the duck at Made in China. Always made to feel welcome.

The location of this hotel is probably the best thing about it. It’s minutes away from a lot of places but this hotel is really needing some work. It’s starting to become pretty dated and many things are needing updates. Also the cleaning staff really needs to pay more attention to their work. I found dried blood on my sink, in the pool changing room, and on one wall. No clue what’s going on with that but don’t believe me, check the changing room closest to the women’s lockers by the pool. It’s on the left side when you enter. While you’re at it, check out the plaster falling off of the ceiling of the pool too. That’s going to make a real splash soon.
