China World Summit Wing, Hotel in Beijing

One of the most magnificent hotels we’ve had the pleasure of staying at. Here for the last 4 nights of our time in China and enjoying the hotel and hospitality thoroughly.

Rooms are outfitted beautifully, restaurants and bars are designed with style and have lots of food options.

Be sure to enjoy some downtime at the lounge on the 64th floor. Great service by Nicole and Rita making sure we had everything we needed.

The most iconic ultra-luxury hotel in Beijing, located in the city's tallest building. The Executive Lounge on the 64th floor offers all-day complimentary soft drinks, coffee, and tea. The gym and infinity pool are on the 78th floor, and breakfast on the 79th floor offers stunning views of the Western Hills and the entire Beijing city. It has everything: kids can swim and work out, ladies can shop, and gentlemen can enjoy gourmet food.

The hotel's location is fantastic. It's very convenient for subway travel, and there's a shopping mall right downstairs. The front desk staff are all very helpful. Both the night and day views are stunning. Breakfast is delicious, and the gym is well-equipped. Plus, the pool is never crowded!

Housekeeping: The cleaner on the 74th floor did an excellent job, and the hotel's laundry detergent was fantastic.
Facilities: The hotel is a bit older, so I hope they keep up with the maintenance.
Service: The night duty manager (I didn't catch their name) on the day I checked in provided excellent service. There was a minor issue with my room, and they actively helped me resolve it. The concierge was also very responsible, ensuring prompt delivery and safekeeping of packages and food deliveries.

To celebrate my wife's birthday, I specifically chose the China World Summit Wing, Beijing, the city's tallest hotel. It's located right above the north wing of the China World Mall. The lobby is on the 64th floor, and the downstairs concierge verified our check-in information and helped us with the key card. The lobby is quite unique; due to ceiling height limitations, it feels more like a lounge and wasn't too crowded. Check-in was quick. After learning it was my wife's birthday, they proactively offered a complimentary cake, flowers, and red wine – excellent service! The room layout was very well-designed, with the large bed facing a floor-to-ceiling window, offering a great view. The bathtub was spacious, perfect for relaxing. From 5-7 PM, the Atmosphere Bar on the 80th floor (the highest floor) had a great vibe, perfect for a drink while listening to live music. Breakfast is on the 79th floor, a hybrid of à la carte and buffet. The à la carte dishes were beautifully presented, though the taste didn't quite live up to the presentation, so there's room for improvement there. We even encountered a security team for a certain country's leader 🤫, which speaks to the appeal of the China World Summit Wing. Plus, staying on a weekend gets you free parking for one car, saving a whopping 300 RMB! All in all, highly recommended!

The hotel's location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Beijing. The cloud lobby and rooms offer fantastic panoramic views of the city from above. Breakfast was pretty good, though the 'happy hour' offerings were a bit subpar. Overall, I was quite satisfied! The facilities are a bit dated, but acceptable.

Excellent value for money! First off, the room had an east-facing view, offering sights of the China Zun and CCTV tower. You could easily catch the sunrise from the 60th floor and above; I didn't opt for a higher floor as the ground views tend to get a bit distant. Secondly, the breakfast was fantastic. You start with a plated dish, followed by an incredibly rich and luxurious buffet in a spacious setting. For lunch, I used a 500-yuan voucher, which comfortably covered two people. It was a Michelin-style meal, though the portions were a tad small. The tableware was branded and quite artistic. The overall service was great, from the staff helping with luggage to the front desk and managers. The hotel also offers room service delivered by a robot right to your door. My only minor complaint is that the robot's notification sound inside the room was quite jarring, like a school bell, which made me jump. Overall, it was a truly wonderful stay!

The room was fantastic; facing east, we got to see the sunrise. The pool was great, and breakfast was especially good – the kids loved it! It was also super convenient to go downstairs to the China World Mall; you don't even need to leave the building, you can just go straight in.

On a business trip layover in Beijing, I had a wonderful day at the Shangri-La. The front desk staff were so nice, and the massage and hot tub melted away the day's fatigue. The high-floor view overlooking the CBD nightscape was stunning. I enjoyed a drink at sunset and breakfast in the morning light. A big thank you to AndyAn for the thoughtful and excellent food recommendations. The restaurants and shops downstairs were incredibly convenient and had all my favorite spots. I'm planning to stay in Guomao every time now! :)
