I returned for the third time. Location near the park is great for an evening stroll but a little remote to the city center. The size of the rooms is superb. Great value for the money. Large selection of foods available for the breakfast buffet. Will come back.

Terrible experience. Was supposed to check in at 2pm, arrived at 2.30pm and was told our suite wasn't ready as suite guests are allowed to extend their stay till 4pm. Told reception it's ok, we would tour the city first, but they should make sure our room is clean and ready by the time we get back. Arrived back at 9.30pm and realised to our horror that the room meant for our kids reeked of cigarette...

Came with family of 8. Rooms and toilets are sufficiently big. Breakfast spread at JW Marriott was much better especially the gyoza. Courtyard Momo cafe so so though the fried rice was good. Wifi in the hotel is so poor though. Can download or watch anything except chat on WeChat. Location is not the best though. Have to Didi everywhere.

We have booked two rooms. We have arrived early and the rooms are not ready. The counter allowed us to use one room first. The rooms are big and clean, we upgraded to the top floor and can walk to the balcony for a good view of the city. Will visit again.

The Mercure Westlake Hotel is a mid- to high-end hotel owned by China Life Group. It is close to the West Lake and the hotel feels like a high-class whole season. Walk to the nearest subway station for about 10 minutes, to the Hangzhou Railway Station is also very close, if you do not traffic jam, then to the airport about 30 minutes, but Hangzhou traffic is not ideal, traffic jam is commonplace....
