Savoir Resort in Hangzhou

This is a Chinese-style hotel that I have collected for a long time. You can also bring your pets to stay. The environment is very good. There are many intangible cultural heritage courses in the experience project. The ladies in the experience class also gave me their own handmade ropes. They are all very patient and friendly. I must give them a chicken drumstick 👍🏻

I love this hotel. Even though we encountered a typhoon, the view wasn't affected, and it only enhanced the Jiangnan atmosphere.
The staff's service was exceptional; they were all very welcoming and attentive.
Thank you for your service these past few days. I'll definitely be back if I'm in Hangzhou again.

The hotel environment is very good, the waiters are also very enthusiastic, they will greet you when they see you, and they have already added the butler's WeChat, which is very considerate. They are very enthusiastic to help with the luggage, the breakfast is particularly rich and comfortable, and the aromatherapy at the turndown service is very fragrant.

From the architecture to the interior design to the service, everything is absolutely amazing! We brought my parents along, and they upgraded their room for free, and even added a tatami bed at no extra charge. We were so grateful! The water was plentiful and thoughtful, and the staff were very helpful, offering guidance, luggage assistance, and even shuttle services to the scenic area. My parents kept saying it was well worth the money! We'd definitely stay at this resort again!

Simon was exceptional! Brought us around in a boat helped us take stunning photos and was just in every way possible made our stay superb! Would highly recommend a stay here. Worth every penny. Very therapeutic and authentic Chinese experience (and given it’s the only 1 of 1 resort with a private lake and 40000sqm of space) it’s definitely worth an experience.

Lovely hotel in the middle of West Creek/ Xixi National Wetlands Park in Hangzhou. The hotel and service offerings are excellent, located in a very secluded spot away from the hustle and bustle, great for relaxation and enjoying the serene and tranquil surroundings. There is a small lake in the middle of the hotel, which I understand is owned and managed by the hotel. The views are wonderful and better than going to the famed West Lake (way too touristy and crowded). I think this hotel has a lot going for it, even though it’s not a known brand.

I would say some things for improvement are as follows:

Must, must open a spa. AmanFayun, Banyan Tree, Anh Luh and Four Seasons all have spa’s and they’re at roughly the same price point. This wasn’t a deal breaker for me, but for some people this would put them off from booking here.

Gym. This place needs an on-site gym for obsessed exercise freaks like me (and other health obsessives that want to go to an all-inclusive resort). Also, with the yummy high calorie food offerings in the restaurant, I would like to work those calories off and not worry about getting home fatter than when I left!

Restaurant – Excellent service from the wonderful manager, who I forgot to ask her name and all her staff. Very good manners from all the staff, very quiet voices, barely can hear them speak amongst themselves. However there needs to be more of an international offering for people that visit from outside China (US/ Europe, India/ South East Asia/ Gulf countries, who all would probably stay here in the future). There should be another restaurant that offers international fayre, as well as the traditional Chinese restaurant, so both sets of visitors are catered for, and more choice is always good for people that stay longer than 3 days. And vegetarian/ vegan options would be very appreciated.

The “Savoir resort” is not mentioned on Didi maps or on Baidu maps, and the Chinese name bears absolutely no resemblance to the English name 杭州所见 – 西溪度假酒店. Foreign people may have problems finding this location on their maps/ getting here without help (the less help that is required, the better).

The two top-end rooms (6999 yuan a night and 15,000 yuan a night) cannot be booked on
携程 （Ctrip） or Trip.com. I think there should be 5 – 10 pictures on the site showing these rooms as bookable. I take a long time researching a hotel before booking, so the more information available, the better.

The boat trip in the hotel is way better than the boat trip offered outside the hotel. I really enjoyed it, but I don’t think many people use it, which is a shame of a great resource. The fact this hotel has its own private lake is something that makes it stand out from the other hotels.

The hotel is great is a must to go if you want a place to relax in Hangzhou, a recommendation in regards of the service is that maybe waitresses don't need to be so pushy when you are ordering at the restaurant and the minibar can have a bottle of wine or some beers, aside from that the hotel is great!!

poor toilet design.

the toilet has bad ventilation and the drainage can be easily blocked.

the shower door and floor is also poorly finished and water will easily overflow to outside.
