Waterman Svpetrvs Resort - All Inclusive in Supetar

We are 3 days into our 10 day stay at the Waterman Kaktus, booked a privilege room with sea view which is lovely ( room 310), the view is fabulous. Could do with tea and coffee facilities but we brought a travel kettle. We went to get some dinner at 8pm and there was hardly any food left, when asked if there was more the chef came out and said sorry no. The food we did manage was awful, chewy overdone meat and cold. We then went to the bar and I ordered my usual vodka and diet coke but when I went to drink it it was flat, explained this to the bar tender who looked under the machine and he said nothing wrong with it and dismissed me. I couldn't drink it so now sat up on the balcony and made my own coffee. I agree with a lot of the comments regarding the lack of all inclusive and how to get around and where to go but I'm not going to let it spoil the rest of my stay, the area is beautiful, I will however keep a close eye on the next couple of days and see if the treatment and food/drink get any better.

We arrived at the hotel after midnight, and there was a member of staff waiting for us just outside to show us where to park and where to check in. The room was spacious, and it was lovely to have a separate bedroom and second bathroom. The Lennox pool is advertised on their website as being heated, and so we paid to go in. The pool felt we were diving into an ice bath, absolutely freezing. We felt like we wasted our money. You also have to pay for drinks as the AI is excluded. The All Inclusive drinks are not good. It's like they are using the cheapest soft drinks on the market. Our son would not drink them, and we found paying an extra 2 euro for the named brand every time he wanted a drink. The alcohol wasn't much better, and again, we ended up paying more for the better drinks. The food was okay. I think the restaurant would benefit from a 'kids' corner' area, whereby there is a children's selection of pasta, chips, nuggets, etc. We booked this hotel for seven nights. However, we checked out just over a day early as we felt the hotel was just trying to 'do everything on the cheap' and we wanted a night in a hotel that felt like an actual four star hotel. On checking out, we were asked how our stay was or the reason for us checking out over a day earlier. None of the staff gave that 'personal experience feeling', and it felt like they didn't really want to be there. I think the hotel is okay for a few nights, but we felt a week was too long. On a positive note, the kids' club staff were absolutely lovely and made our stay a little more enjoyable. We stayed here the last week in May. We wouldn't return to this hotel.
