I had an amazing stay at this hotel during a bike trip. The owner was super friendly and allowed me to store and charge my e-bike in a little spare room. Lovely New Years stay Amazing service as soon as we arrived from a lovely friendly lady on reception. Easy efficient check-in, incredible value for money. The roof of the room is slanted, which makes it a little inconvenient to take a shower, but it's usable! All in all this price is very good! The experience is pretty good!

This hotel is staffed by wonderful people who will go out of their way to help you enjoy your stay (gluten-free food, leaving breakfast open longer...). The hotel restaurant is really tasteful, the food is good. And you can walk to the center in minutes.

We needed one night stop on our business trip to Central Europe (late arrival, early departure), so it was pointless to spend too big money for such accommodation. I chose Hotel Nikolas because it was on the road and offered free parking. My first impression was rather negative, as the building didn't look very inviting from the outside, but I have to admit that it turned out to be a good choice....

The room is rather small and very simply equipped. The bathroom is fine, without any luxury. The staff at the reception is friendly and efficient. The breakfast was very classical but fine. No problem for a one-night stay.

Large single room halfway between train station and old town centre (15 min walk). Very friendly and informative staff. Trams outside on main road not a problem for us. Bed was squeeky and a little to firm. But overall a very good stay. Thanks. 

Facilities: While renovated, the hotel lacks user-friendly features. Details like insufficient hot water and a lack of outlets near the bedside could be improved. Cleanliness: Okay, but the quilt and towels were a bit hard and uncomfortable. Environment: Conveniently located near the train station. Service: Breakfast options are limited.

Small hotel caught in between the train station and city center. Therefore the location is not ideal. Also a bit of walk to the tram stop. Supermarket (that I was able to spot) is one stop away.

I haven’t been to the hotel, but the restaurant is really good. I go there for their food and garlic soup! It’s just the best! And it’s in the middle of the forest - very nice and calm.

Nice clean hotel with lovely staff. The restaurant is rather basic with typical Czech food, a bit heavy, but why not. Most of what I've tried was tasty. They have a wide variety of wines and drinks overall. But the restaurant closes at 10PM Friday and Saturday night & there's nowhere near to go, no outside seating or bench or anything you might use to keep the night going nor you can stay at the restaurant...

A good honest hotel in the town of Trutnov. Our travel agent had mistakenly booked only four of us in a group of five. The hotel was booked to the limit but the friendly and flexible receptionist could arrange all of us into our beds amidst all the rush and hurry. Truly admirable person and guaranteed to make us recommend Hotel Patria to everybody despite their silly patriotic name ;-)

We were here for the Obscene Extreme Festival and had rooms on the 10th floor. Amazing view. Had lunch a few days in the restaurant which was very well done. Breakfast was a little underwhelming, but most free ones are. Not complaining. I would definitely stay here again. I'd give it 5 stars if they threw in air conditioning. The 10th floor gets a bit warm. Spoiled American I guess ?

Nice location. Close to the city by tram. Rooms are nice but mine is little bit too cold for me, at least for December winter time. Service is good they made my room ready even before the check in time because I arrived really early. All together for 3 stars hotel probably above expectations.

I liked everything about the hotel, except for the big clunky key ring and having to use the key to lock from the outside AND inside. It made me nervous if there's an emergency how fast would I be able to unlock it. Sometimes it opens with one turn; other times, it's frustrating.
