last Year review: amazing new year eve gala dinner, happy NY 2025 for every one
Reception is decrepit. The people at front desk at arrival: dirty,in disarray and not friendly. Hotel stairs and hallways very dirty(old carpets, dirty). Spa is a joke, whilpool water cold(75 degrees F) Hotel pretentious.
It was very strange built building though. The spa area is located on 3rd floor and only through 3rd floor you can go into Spa reception. And the entrance of swimming pool/ sauna only via spa area is available.
Our room was on 4th floor and as we wanted to go to sauna after 7pm, the elevator was not available as the spa area was closed... we had to all the way from 4th floor to Underground floor through stairs in bathrobe(...) while we had no information for the situation. As we checked how long the swimming pool will be opened they just said it will be opened till 9pm but didn't mention about such inconvenience. They could have mentio ed about it!!!!
And in the sauna weird couple didn't consider at all other guests who want some relaxing. They just turned on the music through Bluetooth speaker super loudly as they use private pool/sauna!! It was very unacceptable and I wanted to claim about this and the person who was there for towels can't speak English/German at all. No understand just saying, go to reception.. it was unbelievable.
If I had enough time to decide to choose a hotel I wouldn't decide this hotel anyway. It was in short notice spontaneous staying over in Carlsbad so I blame myself. This experience gave me a lesson: planning earlier so you don't need to get the poor rest NO ONE WANTS.
Rooms were spacious and clean. Reception was friendly and helpful.
Very close to the bus and train stations and walkable to rest of Karlovy Vary.
I would definitely stay here again.
