The toilets didn’t even flush well. The room, you can say was like a sauna, due to how warm the room was. During the night, the light went out 3 times in the whole building, even while I was taking a shower

When I finally arrived at the room, my refrigerator was not stocked, there were flies in my room, and the water did not want to heat up. I had to take a cold shower during my stay at this location

Upon waiting 3 hours for my check-in time without being able to go use the facility amenities while I wait, when it go to my time of check-in, my room was still not prepared

During my stay, when I first arrived it was very hectic with so many people trying to check in and check out in a big but felt small lobby

The food I can say needs a better menu as it looked like it was recycled food from the day before and maybe from the day before that one

This resort was beautiful and had lots to do. Children are allowed, there’s a kids area and even a teen hang out. There are multiple pools and a beach

I wouldn’t consider this a party resort; it’s more geared toward families and low-key fun. Definitely check out the beach bar—John and Gerson are fantastic bartenders, very friendly and entertaining

There’s also a snack buffet there that overlooks the beach, so you can enjoy a nice breeze while you eat. My only downside was the rooms

They each had a balcony, and really could have been great, but cleanliness could be greatly improved. I had to change rooms twice—first due to the AC not working, then because the balcony door wouldn’t lock

During the day, there’s a buffet snack bar, coffee shop, and icecream bar available, plus a sports bar that’s open 24/7. In the evenings, the lobby has entertainment, including shows and a DJ

One of my favorite parts was the beautiful wildlife roaming the resort and the amazing service staff—most were very friendly and welcoming

The shows on the stage are super fun and the pool staff and games are awesome :) lisselotte was my favourite staff member! She is super fun and brings up the energy for everyone! The beach bar is fun at night and they have snack bar open if you need

Great part of the hotel. Nice employee and great atmosphere. Calm and relaxing holiday you will have for sure. And if you like business and entertainment you walk 2 min to the other pool and you can enjoy that

Checked in to The Grand Paradise on Saturday and I absolutely love it here. It is beyond beautiful and the service at Cooee is amazing. Everyone here really goes the extra mile to make you happy, I never want leave.

The new name of this property is unknown or if it will run as a resort. This is what every one who would like to return to the Grand Paradise Playa Dorada would like to know once this information is disclosed

The palace hotel or the beach hotel will meet all your expectations! The wedding was exactly what I wanted and the resorts themselves will always have something for you to do and enjoy of during the day

She helped with a welcome dinner, the ceremony on the beach and the actual reception in the Atlantis (which had a breathtaking view of the ocean and sunset)

We stayed at the palace but often found ourselves going to the beach side for the night life. I have been to this hotel multiple times in the past and this is why I decided to have my wedding here

Both sites have nightly entertainment - singers, dancing and theatre from 8 to midnight with s disco after hours. International clientele and lots of young families. All sorts of shaded and sunny beach sites

Viva Palace is beside Viva Beach hotel so that you can walk the charming treed walkway between the two properties

Finally beach is located in a calm bay so lots of ppl in the water all day long

The rooms and facilities have a lot of room for improvement but you're here for Bacaro beach to enjoy the white sand, blue waters, and coastal climate. Rooms are decent but I didn't come here to lounge in the rooms

We were there last February and loved it we did not encounter anything like some of the reviews say we were there for 2 weeks and it was perfect pool was always clean and I would give the food a 9 out of 10 great places

Rested for 2 weeks in November. The location of the hotel is good, a beautiful large beach. Several other hotels of the same chain are nearby. Hotel Riu Naiboa is quite old and needs updating

When staying in the RIU Naiboa, you can use the gym and wellness facilities of the RIU Palace Bavaro next door. It's great! Nice gym, steam shower and wellness pool

The staff is awesome, the food was great, rooms were very clean and the facility was awesome for my family

The food and drinks were amazing, with a wide variety of restaurants and bars to choose from—each offering great quality, flavor, and atmosphere. There was always something new to enjoy, and nothing disappointed

Our stay at JOIA Bávaro was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our entire stay

The entertainment staff Dai, Pikachu, snoop Dogg, black mamba were so much fun and engaged guests in all different pool side games and evening activities

The only thing is I would not do the swim up room again as I enjoyed being at main pool and would have liked to have the jacuzzi tub in the room

The bar tenders and wait staff were wonderful with Tobias and Angelo and Maya. Everyone was wonderful! We met many people who come. back year after year and we understand why

Danilo went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. JOIA Bávaro delivered an exceptional experience, and we can’t wait to return

I’am so thankful I stay here and plan to stay at another Royalton in the future. Please don’t forget to tip staff works hard and should be showing appreciation

Everyone from Juan at check in making sure everyone went smooth and stress free to Jancey taking checking in to make sure we had everything we needed on a daily basis and Hugo at the pool bar keeping my drinks full

The beach…the beach was amazing! We had arrived right after a storm but it was cleaned up by the next day

The private pool was extremely cold upon first entry and a lot of the cable tv stations had no sound. Our butler Antonio was excellent

There are also almost always activities going on around the pool and at the beach which are super fun, you’ll never be bored, and the shows at night are interactive and very impressive

Really good place to spend your time not spending so much money. I was really impressed with their food. And their staff is amazing… KanKan from the experience team, Sarah from the coffee place, and Omar from the bar

The rooms are standard and clean, no issues with the AC or water. The best thing about this resort was the staff. Timéo and Esther in specific were so kind to us and really made the trip so much better

The quality of the WiFi is very low. On the hotel beach someone is constantly bothering you - offering everything - from jewellery to braids or foot massages

There is also a disco tech open from 11pm-2am which makes for amazing night life at the resort. The drinks, juices and frozen cocktails are lacking in quality but there are a good amount of options

The beach is soooo beautiful and extends for many kilometres so you can take nice long walks. The only unfortunate thing about the beach is that there are no umbrellas for shade, only palm trees

If you are looking for great beach, relaxed time and good ambiance, I’d recommend this hotel. My wife and I just wanted a place to relax and enjoy the sun this hotel has that for you!

We had an absolutely beautiful stay at Bahia Principe Grand Samaná. Our room (220) overlooked the bay, and with my binoculars — once I learned where to look — I could see whales breaching in the distance

The beach is small and intimate, perfect for relaxing without big crowds. The property is simply gorgeous, walkable — peaceful, scenic, and immaculately maintained

Also girl at the front desk with the pretty head band that checked us in an out and her tall counterpart I believe his name was Fernando also the porter that took our stuff up, y Medina in the parking lot that help me find my phone I dropped in the driveway came back an hour later and he found it for me — you all made us feel welcomed and cared for

A heartfelt thank you to my bartenders Fernando, Nilvio and Yacaury, wait staff Jose Antonio Fermi y Jose Antonio David and so many more, Rosa, Domingo, and Shariel kept me company while we charged my phone at the front desk

The service always came with a genuine smile and they go out of there way to get anything you ask for I know they're switching over but they need to keep these guys and give them a raise for treating their resort in a way that makes people want to come back and refer friends

Excellent resort- beautiful scenery and flowers. The staff at the Sunclub were excellent especially Julissa and Nichole. Elizabeth at the buffet great service and always knew what you needed

The best little resort we have been too. We have been here 4 times and just love it and very very sad that it has closed. All of the Staff are just wonderful, friendly and nice

Next day came back from beach to shower and only had one towel. I do plan on returning next year. I enjoyed seeing Soto around the bar. He was always singing and picking up glasses and straightening up chairs

Everything about our stay at Playabachata was excellent from start to finish. The service was outstanding — the staff was friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile

I was disturbed to find about a dozen flies crawling at the cold salad bar. The beach is the highlight of this resort. I loved sitting under the palm trees and observing the beautiful sea and sky

Rooms were outdated they need a lot of maintenance. Coffee shop, pizza shop and ice cream are a plus. The buffet needs more options. People are fighting to get seafood or any decent food

When I'm here I spend the majority of my time at the pool which is never over crowded and I have made friends with the crew at the Sol Pool Bar

Nice pool, they do a Christmas event; the location is fair

The offer water bottles to brush your teeth which is nice for travelers with concerns of local tap water. The pool was amazing, excellent vibe and music. Very nice gym as well… they also have tennis courts available

The room was up to standard, very lady with pool view, not so much of an ocean view but still good views. The room did not have an iron and I called down and one was quickly brought up to the room

Overall, the Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua is a solid option for travelers seeking comfort, great service, and a choice between serene garden settings and impressive sea views

The hotel is divided into two buildings—one offering sea-view rooms in the main tower and the other featuring tranquil garden views

I realize it is low season in Samana at this moment, but i had expected more from a Wyndham hotel. Further more, driving there, you can get lost, as there ar no signs or directions to follow

Lovely place where you can relax, have good meals and drinks. Very friendly staff, they make you feel like home. Beach excelente with bars and snacks. We planning to come back with the hole family.

Breakfast didn't include bacon, and had only one type of ham and cheese. Small selection of vegetables and speciality dish, 1 type of fish and one type of meat. No cheese, ice cream or even pudding for dessert

At first it bothered me, but we were able to use both hotels, except for some areas like the buffet at the larger one and a few other things. Other than that, the beach was beautiful and the pools were nice too

The food service and the whole experience at Jade restaraunt was exceptional, from the the initial contact with Yeilin, and the service from both of our waitress who’s name I didn’t get which I do apologise and our chef Victor were all exceptional and the food was honestly amazing

There are a couple of things that could be improved, like having more areas where people can hang out longer, or places to play games such as volleyball or something like that—but that’s just my personal opinion

The food could be better, however it is an all inclusive so perfectly understandable. Staff is AMAZING, helpful, nice and always trying to go above and beyond for the guest

Great location close to the city. Beach was okay. Service was great and efficient. Food at buffet could had been better and with more variety. Areas were cleaned and spotless. Perfect for a quick weekend getaway or day.

Rooms are clean and stocked with may amenities. The spa is nice. On a scale from 1 to 10 i give the staff a 1,00%

The bar was okay, I didn’t use the spa. I don’t know why they put me away from the group that I formed. Everybody was in the same place. I was not allowed to visit them. All of them used a black cord and mine was purple

The room was spacious and had a great balcony overlooking the pool and beach. The seating at the beach is horrible. Not enough seating and it is taken by people from early morning by just throwing a towel on the seat

it is a good retreat for resting, the food is dominican, and it is in the best spot in the boca chica beach

The staff are friendly and the pool and beach are clean. My room was large and comfortable and the food has been some of the best buffet style hotel food that I’ve had while visiting Santo Domingo

The hotel environment is super good, right on the beach. The sea view is great, there is a restaurant on the fifth floor, and there is an open-air swimming pool, gym and restaurant on the seventh floor

Breakfast staff very friendly with a variety of items for breakfast. Germayonni , was an excellent hostess at breakfast. Rooms were excellent with a great view of the ocean

We aren't on the Malecon often and needed a spot to sit, and eat while we waited for a few hours and Hotel Catalonia fit the bill perfectly. They also have a great view!

La Ciudad Colonial is within walking distance, making it very convenient for shopping for souvenirs and exploring historic sites. There are also plenty of restaurants and casinos nearby, all easily accessible on foot

My wife and I recently stayed at the Sheraton Santo Domingo, located along the Malecón, and we had a very pleasant experience overall. The location is excellent—central to most tourist attractions in the city

The pool area is lovely but again for the price I paid I expected thicker, nicer pool towels and the ones we got were more threadbare than anything

The street in front of the hotel can get quite busy, but that’s typical for such a densely populated city. Thankfully, the rooms are well insulated, and outside traffic noise did not disturb our stay

The only downside is that the main dinning area does not offer dinner, but dinner options are available in the lobby area for an additional cost. The hotel also has a nice outdoor pool and a decent gym

The hotel staff truly stood out. They were very attentive and always greeted us whenever we passed by, which made the stay feel welcoming and personal. I highly recommend upgrading to a Club Room

In the mornings look up at the palm trees and you’ll be sure to find a group of Hispaniolan woodpeckers having a morning discussion. Every single staff member from the lifeguards to the security

The cleaners to the gardeners were extremely polite and friendly. Would love to come back one day, but sadly we have an unofficial rule of always going somewhere different each time we travel

If this is your first time venturing to the Dominican Republic, hotel Catalonia is the perfect first stop. The island is absolutely stunning. Buffet food was consistently cold

Plenty of wildlife to enjoy in the nearby nature reserve and thankfully within the impeccably kept grounds too. I was amazed that I spotted 4 endemic species during my stay

We stayed in the duplex suite with a pool and it was so enjoyable and worth it. Drinks are provided quickly and with a smile. Everyone is so helpful and engaging

Upon arriving we was warmly welcomed by attentive staff and were shown our room. It was extremely spacious with twin sinks and bed large enough for 4 people
