Our deluxe king was basic. The beds very comfortable. Jacuzzi tub on terrace. View of coconut trees and some flowers, but faced the service road where the workers travel and many trucks and delivery vehicles. The staff was 50/50 in terms of service. Some obviously enjoyed their work snd others rather indifferent. Everyone works very hard and are efficient.
The food is incredibly great both in the buffet and the specialty restaurants, and you do not have to make a reservation except for Fusion. The entertainment at night in the open area is different every night. I’d highly recommend the Dominican show on Thursday night . They are truly proud of their country and very talented.
Lots of families at this resort and babies. They have many kids’ activities all day and before the shows. I was told 127 kids while there early March .
I’d recommend this place more for the younger set. Wet walkways, narrow paths to navigate the pool area by the beach, long lines at dinner time, rowdy Spring breakers, all made me feel a bit overwhelmed (I’m 75)

Great experience all around. Beautiful pools , plants and great restaurants. Beach was great with plenty of things to do. Great entertainment every night along with pool parties and DJ during the day. Minimal kids staying while we were here . If your thinking of staying at secrets next door it is very big and open and for a much older crowd. People 65 plus sleeping and snoring by the pool without the music and pool fun atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone 18 to 55 years old who like to have fun and interact with others.

Have been to this property many times over the years and have always enjoyed it. This time the experience was lacking a little bit. They told us on arrival that they were full and that was very obvious (we never received our welcome drink). There was constant empty glasses and litter lying around, they ran out of towels and service was just lacking. It was very disappointing as this is a resort we really love and now might not come back.

The staff was very accommodating with everything, and always with a smile. The pool activities were always fun and entertaining. The food was great although we are always very happy with the buffets. There is such a selection to choose from. Our concierge Emmanuel Morillo checked on us every day to make sure we were happy as he did last year when we stayed. The beaches were kept clean and, you could take long walks and feel safe. We will definitely be back!

The resort is amazing. Food was very good, not great but you will not go hungry. Everything was great EXCEPT for a very high pressure sales pitch to get you to spend 14k on a Hyatt Travelers Club Membership. They offer coupons and a free message and "take you to breakfast". After breakfast they "show you around the rsort". After being passed off from 1 salesman to the next and multiple package offers later, we were aloud to escape. Without that it wouldve neen 5 stars for sure. Just beware of "free gifts" when you arrive. But awesome trip.... would absolutely go back.

Clean rooms and clean hotel overall. Gym a bit small but did the trick. Food at dinners was good. Breakfast a little lacking. The staff was WONDERFUL! SO FIRENDLY, HELPFUL AND ATTENTIVE. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

The staff was great everywhere! The steak was amazing at all the restaurants and we all (teenagers included) liked the grill by the beach. The New Year’s celebration was fun and the whole family had a good time!

We had an unforgettable stay at Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana in December 2025, and it truly exceeded all expectations. We booked the Preferred Club side, which has been recently renovated, and the rooms were absolutely beautiful — some of the nicest we’ve experienced in the Caribbean. We’ve stayed at Finest Punta Cana before, and honestly, Dreams Royal Beach offered comparable luxury with even better overall value.
The food was great, the atmosphere relaxed, and the staff went above and beyond. A special mention to Wilkin, who served us by the pool all week. He somehow appeared the moment our glasses were empty — always smiling, attentive, and genuinely kind. Service like that really makes a difference.
And of course, our VIP concierge Marcelo was fantastic. He was always just a quick message away. He handled every request with speed, kindness, and attention to detail, making what’s usually the “administrative side” of vacation feel effortless.
After a disappointing stay at Lopesan Punta Cana last year, where service was cold and disorganized, we were hesitant to return to the Dominican Republic. But I’m happy to say that Dreams Royal Beach completely restored our faith. We’ll gladly come back and will be booking with Hyatt beach resorts in the Dominican Republic moving forward!

Portion very very small , nice presentation. You need to eat before because it will not fill you up. During reservations price advertised as $55 but had hidden fee 28% tax total end up $70.40. Will not recommend. Each portion smaller than a bite .
