Hotels on Nile river in Egypt

Thanks to the staff at Basma for providing an unforgettable honeymoon arrangement. The bed was one of the few that was exceptionally comfortable. Many people seem to say the service was terrible, but I didn't experience that at all.

The rooms weren't as good as Atour or Ji Hotel, and at 1300 RMB a night, it was definitely a bit pricey! I stayed for two days. The hotel is a short walk from the Nubian Museum, and a short walk further down is the Old Falls, making the location very convenient. There's a Carrefour supermarket opposite the Old Falls, and a pretty good Chinese restaurant across from Carrefour. Waking up in the morning...

Arriving at 9 am, I only planned to leave my luggage at the hotel, but the front desk helped me check in early 🙏; since I couldn't find anything to eat on my early flight, they arranged breakfast for me, $15 per person, which is a normal price. Nestled on a hill overlooking the Nile, this hotel offers panoramic views of the river and the famous Old Falls. The rooms are fully equipped, and the balconies are dedicated viewing platforms – perfect for relaxing in a rocking chair, enjoying the breeze and the view.

The view was decent, and the breakfast was simple but acceptable. The real problem was the terrible facilities and soundproofing. Add to that the presence of other Chinese guests nearby, and their combined negativity created a nuisance that lasted from morning till night – it was utterly disgusting.

The balcony is beautiful, offering a panoramic view of the Nile River. It's very close to the Old Falls hotel, and the hotel also serves lunch and dinner at reasonable prices with decent taste. Breakfast, however, is a bit basic. The service is excellent, and the staff are very welcoming.

The hotel itself is very old, the staff make up for the outdated hotel, been quite friendly. Just please be very careful when checking in, I paid by credit card & was then asked to pay with US dollars. My credit card has gone through my bank (but been in a foreign country, it showed a few days later) I did get it reversed, just a heads-up

We stayed 2 nights. The rooms are nice sized with terraces and seating. There is only a curtain to the toilet. No shampoo is provided. The bed is extremely firm. It's close to the station, but the road to the hotel is not well-maintained (this is true throughout Egypt), so if you have large luggage, it might be better to take a taxi. It was great! The hotel is right by the Nile River, and the owner and staff were very kind. They even upgraded us to a larger room when they saw we had a child! We'll definitely come again!!!

It was conveniently located near the western ferry terminal to go to the Valley of the Kings. The free shuttle boat to and from the east coast is very convenient. We stayed for two days (we regretted staying at the Ibero Hotel on the east coast for the last three days), and the service was excellent! It's our favorite place in Luxor! Highly recommended!

If you're looking for the best hotel in Luxor, it's Geoffrey's Palace. The butler is excellent and very classy. Most importantly, the hotel is incredibly photogenic, with tasteful and aesthetically pleasing interior design. It's like a castle, and you can take a boat to the east bank; it's situated on the west bank of the Nile. The regular price isn't high, but it's truly beautiful.

We had an excellent stay at Djorff Palace on the peaceful West bank of Luxor. The hotel is beautifully crafted with large spacious rooms (many with balconies over looking the Nile). We had a great welcome from the owner and staff which made us feel right at home. We would definitely return if in Egypt again.

Perfect location to explore Luxor — you can easily walk or take short rides to all the main sites, which really helps you save on transport costs. Basic hotel with a good location over looking the Nile. Rooms basic and had to ask for everything: towels, cleaning etc. Room cleaning did not always happen despite us asking. It's a beautiful hotel with beautiful hearts on the west bank of Luxor. It was a 20 min drive from the airport and 15 min drive from Karnak Temple. The view from the rooftop is amazing both morning and night! Great local breakfast too. The room was very clean and basic toiletries were provided.

Great value for price that i paid. The room we stayed in was not well-illuminated. Very dim lights, otherwise a simple, standard room that's fair for its price. Critiques: Beds had spines protruding out that weren't easy on your back and spine; shower curtain was not designed properly, went up to your waist, water gushed out the bottom onto the floor, parking is NOT included, good luck finding one on the adjacent streets. The hotel is clean. The room is really big and good space. The price is little high for it's category. The location is perfect and you are close to market, cafes, train station and Nile decks. The staff there is kind. Breakfast 🥞 is horrible
