Le Royal Holiday Resort in Sharm el Sheikh

So we arrived on the Friday 31st October was amazed when we first arrived was ushered in to our room no welcome pack nothing. We found our own way to the restaurant as we was hungry not a great deal to eat had rice and said veg ragu but had beef in it anyways stayed to take photos had a couple of cokes then decided early evening. Started to feel unwell didn’t have a pleasant night. We was on the family side bar staff was friendly pools was a nightmare to get a sun lounger found the silent pool which we didn’t have a problem with. Pool guys wash the tables with pool water. The steps in the middle are very slippy which I found out when I fell in and hurt my wrist. Muhammad was on his break and the pool guy who was there didn’t even get up to see if I was okay. The restaurant was the same food all the time veg ragu lol with either chicken or beef in every time I ate rice I was unwell so over 7 days I was unwell for 4 days my last day we didn’t eat nothing at all for 24 hours. Restaurant tables was not cleaned but new place mats and cutlery replaced when there was any available no hand sanitiser at the door at entrance reported this to the management team they was aware but once again the next day nothing changed. Dirty dishes all over tables no clean plates or cutlery. People biting food and putting it back we booked meal in the Japanese if I could I would have eaten there all the time and the manager was lovely and very helpful there. Room was lovely cleanliness after we stayed a few days went down hill dirty bedding put on then the next day same bedding but turned over husband made a complaint they changed it straight away. On arrive fruit basket, cakes and nuts was o welcome nice gesture was there 3 days taken away then another was left.On the day we left we woke up to maggots on the table took video. Requested to speak to a manager explained was a lovely gesture but not a good idea it put his back up went over the whole stay he said his sick when he goes home after working at the hotel as well. When I first made the manager aware about tables not getting cleaned they said they would address it and gave me late check out lovely but it wasn’t addressed as once again it still happened my husband ate but I refused to.i went to McDonald’s that day for lunch instead. The day we was leaving my husband rested his foot on the sun lounger and was told to take his foot off the bed he had his flip flop on as cv was watching the sun loungers are dirty with stains all over the white but he did as he was asked out of respect. His foot wasn’t fully on the bed. 2 days before we left we got a letter in the door explaining the traffic light system the hotel has in place for when it’s best time to eat shouldn’t this have been given in a welcome back The entrance of the hotel is beautiful decorations are amazing just a shame it doesn’t continue through the rest of the hotel where kept clean and cared for as well as your guests and cared for on what is safe for pe
