I am writing this review as a serious warning to others. I am 33 years old female and stayed at Sharm Reef Hotel while on holiday with my mum. While the hotel itself may appear fine on the surface, my experience with the animation team was extremely concerning and left me feeling unsafe The animation team presented as friendly and welcoming, which initially made me feel comfortable. During my stay, I was invited by one of the animators, Ziad to go out clubbing. I was told the cost would be £25, which would cover taxi transport both ways, entry to the club, and one free drink. This was paid in advance At around 11:30pm, I was picked up by Ziad along with four other hotel guests. When we arrived at the club, I received one free drink and later purchased additiona 2 drinks myself. I also offered to buy Ziad drinks, although animators are not supposed to drink as they are responsible for looking after guests. Throughout the night, Ziad repeatedly encouraged me to step outside the club to speak with his friends. At the time, I didn’t see any issue with this as he appeared friendly. He also told me that another hotel guest wanted to sleep with me,which made me uncomfortable and led me to distance myself from the group and stay close to him instead. After having a few drinks, I began to feel extremely unwell and we had left the club. Although the taxi rank was directly outside the club, Ziad made me walk for around 10 min to get a taxi and another man (who I believe was another promoter) insisted I withdraw cash from an ATM, despite the taxi and entry already being paid for. Shortly after getting into the taxi, I felt very sick and got out briefly to vomit. I then fell asleep in the taxi. The journey back to the hotel should take less than 20 minutes, but I later woke up in a parked taxi in an unknown location. At that point, I immediately checked for my belongings. My bank card was missing, and both of my Cartier bracelets—which I have worn continuously for two years and require a key to remove—were gone. I checked my bank account and saw additional transactions I did not recognise, beyond the drinks and the ATM withdrawal. When I confronted Ziad, he initially claimed I must have lost my card at the club, which is impossible as cash was withdrawn after we had already left. The situation became heated, and after I insisted he had my card, he walked away briefly and then returned with my card The following morning, I received messages from both Ziad and another animator asking if I was okay. I asked directly what had happened between 3am (when we left the club) and 5am (when I returned to my room), and demanded the return of my bracelets and money- this never happened. I was told I had been too drunk and must have lost them, and that we had returned to the club to look for my card.This explanation does not make sense, especially considering the club closes at 2:30am and the withdrawal happened outside the venue.
