After booking the room, we called the place and booked a sauna raft for the same evening. sauna raft on the beautiful clear water Saimaa beach was a very good experience. We slept the night in the beach fence

It was a night for two and a pet which was affordable. Toilets and washrooms can be found on the ground floor of the main building when staying in the beach fence. A little warm in the hot weather

Amazing place! Hidden gem in Saimaa region. The big cottage was amaazing, there is 2 saunas to rent (1 floating and 1 normal) plus SUP boards. The owners are amazing, view is great and atmosphere super relaxed

A wonderful space a little further away, but a short drive from Turku. Beautiful surroundings, clean facilities, comfortable cottage accommodation.

The staff is friendly and considerate. Only thing that bugged me was the fact that you have to bring your own towels and linens to certain rooms or else you will have to pay to use some from the storage

Great place with love and passion to animals. You can pet and feed animals. The reindeers are just next to you.

Beautiful place with cozy rooms and very quiet surroundings! I had a sizeable fridge and a microwave in mine plus all the cutlery and plates etc. The animals outside are a pleasant add on to the experience

For family with children it is ok , for a couple WITH NO CHILDREN a no go , not the best choice , breakfast was ok ....

A good and clean place to stay in a farm tourism place. We stay in the main building on the second floor. Toilet in the corridor, shower downstairs or on the beach, smoke sauna in the building

Extremely nice place to stay. Sauna, big lake and excellent breakfast made our staying even more pleasant.

The owners are very accomodating. The place was beautiful, quiet and comfortable to stay with. It is recommended for summer vacation specially it is near the lake.

The beach sauna for rent was a really pleasant experience and so was the breakfast in the main building. We offer canoes and paddle boards, and the scenery is great. The host is also really friendly

You'll be welcomed by joyful kids, a purring tricot cat, and the kind Meliisa. She'll do everything to meet and exceed your expectations. She suggested me some activities to do, based on my interests, and I did them all

At some point you can feel like Monet in front of the Rouen Cathedral, keen to capture every single change in colors and shadows of the scenery. Inside the igloo, every inch is optimazed to the fullest, clean, and cozy

Only one thing, keep in mind that the showers are 8-min walk away, but I guess it comes with the spirit of doing camping. Aurantola is a family business and you get that as soon as you enter the Manor to check in

The cottages on the island are well equipped, each has a sauna, you can make a barbecue as well as go boating on the lake. The space between the houses is so large that the neighbors do not interfere

The glass igloo is in front of a stunning lake, far aside all the other cottages. So, no noise and distractions other than ducks swimming in front of you and wookpeekers doing their job

Nice and easy place. Good breakfast and easy check in. Even at night. I stayed in beautiful single room.

This hotel is ok for one night stay close to citycenter. No A/C so it gets hot in the summer. The bathrooms would need renovation asap. Rooms are old and very unconfortable beds and pillows

Grocery shopping in walking distance. Problems: My room doesn't have a fridge, nor kettle. Tiny portable fridge was provided, but it's just too noisy to keep it running overnight

Solutions: Dirt cheap kettle for 12 €; Keep my beer in snow piles (still lots of them on May 07); Wake up @ 0500 and enjoy cup of coffee listening peaceful forest birdsong

Commercial trucks are allowed to park very close to the building. Extensive idling starting at 0600 below your window isn't quite the best sound to begin your day with

Cozy budget place to stay, tidy rooms, good breakfast and nice staff. Not the most fashionable place though.

Also I strongly recommend to try fish soup in the restaurant. In the evening I went to sauna. It is comfortable to go up to 4 person , it is quite big. You can buy products in nearest city - Parikkala , 7 minutes by car

Excellent service to sweaty bikepacking guys. Food (fish soup in the evening and breakfast) was excellent, sauna was warm and the water in the lake was refreshing. Special thanks to Sirpa who made us feel welcome.

If you are a keen of fishing, you can rent a boat for fishing, also the owner can prepare and vacuuming your fish. There is a small fish store where you can buy fresh smoked or salted fish

9, perfect for 2, best because its on the southern end of the premise and very calm. Best breakfast ever with home baked sourdough bread and EVERYTHING you might desire

Last 4 days I stayed in this pretty apartments. The owner and his family are very kind people. The place is amazing, hotel is located on the lake with super view

All apartments have a wonderful view on the lake , beds are comfortable, it is clean and warm. Apartments are provided with everything for comfortable staying

Host was kind and agreed to set a tent free of charge.

Well maintained ski tracks and numerous things to do, including of course the spa and various types of saunas, with the smoke sauna being absolutely the best

the bed was comfortable and there are speakers built in which can be attached to your phone or tablet. the roof of the hut was covered in snow but we got decent views from the windows

Despite the ongoing work at the hotel, we had a very good stay, good location for the Northern Lights, the place is clean, the staff is pleasant.

Don't forget to experience either the traditional or the electrical sauna during your stay! Most importantly, participate in the guided activities with hot drinks and roasted sausages such as husky sled rides, aurora hunting, and ice skating

A lovely cosy place to stay, however the location really is in the sticks where transport is limited to around 3 buses to or from the city with the last bus arriving at 7pm

The Glass Igloo was great but you have to walk to the guesthouse for your showers. The breakfast was great and the restaurant provided good options for lunch and breakfast

The place is nice, but the transportation is very inconvenient, and the room has no bathroom, so you should just treat it as camping.

Love this camping. We've been here many times over the years, and every time it has bee a wonderful experience. Clean with more than enough shade when needed, and very close to the beach.

Beautiful location, mostly clean rooms, service is decent. Yyteri beach is probably the best beach in Finland, would recommend visiting in the summer if you have the time.

Ok, camping spot, but expensive. The check-in was time-consuming little streamlined. In the community room in service building B, there are nice fireplaces. But there are no places to charge phones and other gadgets

Nice that there are security patrols during the evening/night time. The surrounding nature is amazing and with the trip. The beach is in walking distance and it is really really nice!

Really good camping with cottages and places for caravans and tents. My experience is related to cottages. Clean, not expensive cottages with a direct access to Yyteri beach

There is a nice sand beach in walking distance. There were enough restrooms and showers. After a short wait those were available even in the busiest hours. Showers and restrooms are with varying ages and conditions

I was very happy to stay in this accommodation. It was very clean, as to enter you have to take off your shoes. The staff was very friendly and helpful with us. They gave us a lot of advice on what to do

The guest house is located at a walk-able distance from Rovaniemi main bus station and the city centre. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. There's a common kitchen for use by the residents

Definitely I'm going to choose this place on my next visit to Rovaniemi. The owner gave me a lot of tips about the city that let me experienced the life in Lapland as if I were a local

The Arktikum museum and garden also close by so you can easily walk searching for aurora in winter. Above all, the owner and his team was quite helpful

Good location to watch northern light. Far from light pollution. The place is closed to frozen lake in winter. You can walk down and enjoy with photo taking.

Hetan Kota is not only a great place to stay, but also a wonderful place for groups staying in other local hotels to go and have some fun with the traditional Finnish ice-hole swimming / sauna concept

They have a great little sauna with adjacent changing / chatting room with fireplace which can be hired out just beside the lake

Our guides love to go there to blow off some arctic steam and to relax in true arctic fashion

Quiet and cozy place with everything for a relaxed vacation. There is a little beach, several places for BBQ, table tennis, badminton and board games for common use. Rooms are comfortable and very clean

Privately run by the owners great Finnish lakeshore retreat with all amenities one would expect in the 22 century. Absence of TV in rooms compliments the atmosphere of escape from urban fuss

Skating rink in the winter is available. The location is 20-30 minutes from the city and the food should be brought with you

Bed sheets and pillows are a delight and are so pleasing to skin that we are considering buying these for our home :-)

Beautiful views and good atmosphere!

The only downside was the beach that grew reeds and hay. It had to be cleared a lot before you could swim. One could not even imagine going into the water from the pier when there were so many plants

In the middle of the forest peace cottage, boat and pier. You could swim well from the beach and the pier. There is a playground in the area with enough stuff for 5-year-olds.

However, a good sandy beach was promised. Otherwise quite a lovely setting, your own peace. Cottage nice where 4 people fit really well and found what was needed

A little hard to get to the place, remote location. Every cottage is very secluded. One problem was lots of mosquitos, they are very aggressive, but I believe it's a common problem in Finland in June and July

Very beautiful place, great cottages with everything you need, a wood sauna and a boat. Fishing for free with provided simple fishing rods, spinning you can rent from the host for 15 euros

Overall a very good experience, I recommend Jokiniemen for an authentic and peaceful stay in Finland

Good beds. Easy access from the center of the city. Clean rooms. Cheap.

As it says in title B&B, you get bed and breakfast. I asked for milk/lactose free breakfast but was given margarine containing milk protein and little lactose and I was in pain for the next two weeks

Friendly staff and clean rooms. If you suffer food allergies ask to check breakfast ingredients beforehand

We did not sleep there but did guided snowshoeing. Harry was very friendly and drove the tour with passion and knowledge. We loved the 3 hours we spent together! The soup served there after was excellent

It was an incredible place and you can ask them to knock and wake you if they see the northern lights, which is a really nice touch. The food was incredible and the staff really friendly

The guides that led our Exodus Family Wilderness Week were great, and really took care of us when the temperature hit -34C so we could still go outside and take part in activities

Both children (9 and 11) loved it, and embraced the activities, as well as playing games in the evening near the fire in the main building

The frozen lake is so picturesque, we also walked to the frozen waterfall and to the mill too, which weren't far away through the forest

I really hope to return one day, as the activities were great fun, the location stunning, and all the family had an amazing time
