Hôtel Joe M in Paris

Incident Summary:
On the second night of our stay, during the early hours of the morning, we discovered a mouse in our room. At the time, your staff offered to move us to a double room, which was inadequate for the three of us, including a 30-week pregnant woman. We paid for a triple room, but moving to a smaller room was not a fair solution. Exhausted and stressed, we decided to stay in the original room despite the mouse, as there were no other viable alternatives.

I am deeply concerned about the potential health risks, especially considering the presence of a pregnant woman in our group. It is alarming that your hotel did not seem to take the possibility of disease transmission seriously. If the pregnant guest had become ill due to the mouse, the consequences could have been severe.

Inadequate Response from Hotel Staff:
The following morning, we informed the hotel staff that the mouse was hiding in the curtains and requested that all curtains be removed and the room thoroughly disinfected. However, when we returned to our room later that day, nothing had been done — the curtains were still there, and no cleaning or disinfection had been carried out.

After multiple requests, the staff eventually removed only one set of curtains and left it on our bed, even placing it on top of some of our personal belongings. The hotel also placed a mouse trap in the room, indicating that the mouse was still active and had likely been running around. This was an incredibly unsettling and unsatisfactory solution.

Room Change and Lack of Assistance:
Later that night, we were finally moved to two double rooms. However, our new rooms were located on level 101 with no elevator, and despite being three women, we were left to carry our own luggage without any assistance from the hotel staff.
