Metropol in Paris

I was there a few weeks ago for two nights and had a perfectly enjoyable stay. I too read a few reviews and wondered how it would be, but I had zero issues and complaints. I thought the room was charming, and looked out onto the street. Windows were definitely soundproofed. Bathroom was better than I could have imagined . There is a bus stop across the street with bus 3 lines if I remember, not to mention Gare du Nord close by.

The welcome was welcoming and I dealt with three different men. Both of the older gentlemen who manned the front were charming and inquisitive. One even had me in a fun conversation regarding Route 66 and the film Easy Rider with Peter Fonda!

Prices were extremely good. I suspect they'd be higher during the summer months. I found no noisy inhabitants, just fellow travelers.

The area was fine, and different style from le Marais, but very very convenient. I'd have no problems staying here again.

I booked this hotel last minute and was a little nervous because of some of the reviews but honestly it was perfect. Yes, it’s not a 5 star hotel. It was as I expected and for Paris, the room was actually a good size. We were on the 6th floor and had two little balconies which was fun! The room was clean, the front desk was very welcoming, yes the elevator is small but it’s Paris. The only thing for me was that the bed was very firm, but that’s personal preference because it was perfect for my mom. The location was great if you’re travelling from La Gare de l’est or nord.

Absolutely loved my stay! The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and well taken care of. From check-in to check-out, they were always accommodating and welcoming.

The location is perfect—just a short walk from the main train stations and with a bus stop conveniently right across the street. It made getting around the city incredibly easy.

Special shout-out to Mohamed, who was professional, courteous, and truly made our experience even better.

Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Great service, unbeatable location, and lovely people!

Location is very near Gare du Nord and walkable. Receptionist is very friendly and helpful when i need to store my luggage before check in. Room is old but sufficiently clean and neat for a night of transit. Standing fan is provided.

Teriffic service and a great location. brilliant stay all round, the staff were incredibly friendly, the hotel room was spacious and clean, and the facilities were in great order. Me and my pal had just cycled from london so were in need of a good night's sleep and we certainly got it after a very warm welcome. Would leave 6 stars if possible!

The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and we had a really good time. The breakfast was fresh and tasty every morning, which made our stay even better. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Location wise is very good since its nearby with the train station gare du nord. Also nearby to shops to eat and any groceries store. The room is a bit classic mode and maybe not so well mantain since the water drainage at the sink is very slow.
