Hôtel Sanso by HappyCulture (Ex Quality Bercy Bibliotèque) in Paris

The best place for four ppl. It is near the station with regional train and also metro.

The hotel is close to the metro but a bit far from the attractions. The triple room is spacious but the bathroom is small n lack of storage space. The show is old. Some staff are friendly while one or two are not helpful.

Positives:
- Convenient location, right next to metro line 14 (same as Ory airport line), and rail line C (same line to Palace of Versailles)
- 24 hour reception and luggage storage
- Complementary sparking / still water and coffee at reception all day, and biscuits from 3 to 7pm
- Room is clean and resembles the photos online, and is decent sized compared to other budget hotels that I saw
- Aircon works well

Negatives:
- No mini fridge (we stayed in the triple room). There is plenty of space to include one, and shouldn't be a costly investment
- The safe in our room didn't work, and despite us informing reception twice on two separate days and being assured that it would be fixed, nothing was done we just gave up
- The shower is very poorly designed, the water spills out onto the floor very easily so whilst it's clean, you can't really enjoy it due to water overflow
- the building is old and the plumbing is not efficiently installed. The bathroom has a bad stench from the plumbing
- the vanity drained very slowly which was annoying

Overall, it was okay, would not stay again given, for the cost we paid, we expected a much more functional bathroom (shower and vanity). The safe situation also annoyed us (we had to carry our passports with us).

Well, aside from the room I booked being different than I expected, everything else was fine. I saw on the app that the quad room we booked had a wall, but when we checked in, there was none, as shown in the pictures (when I initially selected a room, the presence of a partition was my primary concern).

Thankfully, Trip.com customer service was proactive in their communication.

About the hotel: Convenient location, friendly front desk staff, free luggage storage, city tax of 5.53 per person per night, free coffee, and good room cleanliness. We stayed two nights and cleaned the room ourselves during the day. (I recommend letting them know if something is unavailable, and they will remove any items that appear to be trash.)

If it hadn't been different than expected, it would have been a good experience.

Btw, the balcony wasn't used much, so a standard quad room would have been fine.

The location is good, 3 minutes walk from the subway station, you can take bus No. 14. It is three stops to Gare de Lyon. It is 15 minutes walk to Bercy Flixbus station. There is bus 64 in front of the door that goes directly to Printemp Nation shopping. Turn left and walk straight for 15 minutes to Chinatown. Very convenient.

Not enough closets space

The hotel is nice located, just next to the rer and metro station. It’s very close to the Chinatown in 13e.

It would be more enjoyable for me if I was allocated to a room at higher floor.

The housekeeper was nice as well.

The staff is so nice and can speak fluent English. However, the bed is not comfortable and the shower water is quite slow and small.

The hotel is near the subway station and is convenient for transportation. Friendly stuff and free coffee in the lobby. There’s a convenience store and a burger store near the hotel.
