Worth more tge it's 2 stars! Lovely clean hotel in a great location for exploring Tours. The room was spacious, and tge bedlinen clean crisp and fresh. Olivier the host was extremely helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Helped find parking prior to arrival, and servrd a lovely simple breakfast, on our departure. We would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Colbert. The hotel is full of charm and character, spotlessly clean, and the staff could not have been more friendly or welcoming. The location is excellent—perfect for exploring the area on foot and close to key attractions, cafés, and shops. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a warm, comfortable, and well-situated place to stay.

Comfortable city apartment We stayed for one night to break a journey. The apartment was very comfortable and quiet, with all the facilities we needed. It's a short walk across to the old part of the city, where the bars and restaurants are to be found (we chose the Mangouste, which was great).

Reminiscent of a 1950s motel in The US. Situated about a km. from the city center. Not full-service but might be OK if you were driving into town. Front desk definitely not 24-hours. Located in a largely residential area, around the corner and across the street from le Marché de Talensac.

Manoir du Parc is an exceptional hotel. It is a beautiful mansion with lovely high-ceilinged rooms and perfect French decor. It has a small private park and swimming pool. The owners, Gaelle and Bruno, are welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect—easy walking distance to the Loire and tourist center without the bustle.

Wonderful hotel/B&B. We were warmly welcomed into Madame’s home, which is beautifully decorated. Fantastic room and huge bathroom. The double bed was enormous and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was fresh croissant, pain au chocolat and bread plus delicious extras. Great location for exploring Amboise on foot. Highly recommend

The turret room was exceptional. We felt like medieval royalty. Olivier and his staff were so welcoming. We had a lovely breakfast in front of the fire and were given a personal tour of the old aquarium cave and the new sauna and spa rooms. This stay was one of the highlights of our trip to France. The only thing missing was some sunshine.

The staff, especially Oliver, was very helpful in assisting for our local activities. And meeting the owner, and him sharing the vision of restoring the beautiful chateau makes me definitely wanna get back there in the future. We were in the Loire Valley to attend a wedding and needed a place to stay for just one night to attend a pre-wedding event that was far from the actual wedding site. Just a short walk from the train station, Gare de Nantes. Our rooms was on the top floor with a step gallery view of St. Clement's Church. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful historic attractions, local restaurants and easy access to Jardin des Plantes, botanical garden. Friendly staff but the hotel itself is quite dated.

A good hotel for a short stay. The hotel was clean, my room was very small, but it was close to the city center and the Nantes train station. The receptionist was helpful. I recommend it for a short stay.

This hotel is conveniently located for the railway and city. The rooms were clean and the staff super helpful. Although simple, breakfast was very good.

Location is next to the station as well as to tram 1 and many of the bus stations. It was clean and they change the towels and cleaning the bathroom every day. We had to change the room as the chauffage wasn't good enough. The receptionist dissappear sometimes and you have to wait till they appear.

We had a great view of the cathedral that is across the street from our room. There's a beautiful butanical garden next to the cathedral to check out. The local food shops and pubs are pretty good. The train station is a short 10min walk if you want to check out other local communities, wineries or even the beach.

Big room with a big bathroom (to be an hotel). The style is similar at the style of the 18 century. In my room there is a big window with a little balcony. The staff is kind and speak a good English (and French of course) and the hotel is far only 15 minutes of walk from the center.

A small, cozy, traditional family hotel. Fantastic service, friendly staff and fairly clean rooms. When I was sick during my stay, the staff even arrange special meal for me. Highly recommended!

We booked direct and paid €96 which was great value with the super underground Parking. A head torch was helpful to us when loading and unloading the bike as we were in a dark spot in the car park. Really unusual from the underground personally manager-directed parking, to the tiny elevators and upstairs lobby. She may be a bit past her prime, but she was wonderfully quirky. The decor, the unusual room shape, the shower, it was just our style. The manager? Absolutely top notch. Charming, helpful and just a nice man! Definitely worth the trip.

We first visited in May 2023 having chosen it for the secure parking. A very convenient location and perfectly clean and comfortable rooms. Very welcoming manager who directs you to the underground parking entrance. We will book again when we return in September.

A small, functional hotel, but a good choice for a budget stay; it's located right in the city center, you can walk to the cathedral and Tours castle in 5-10 minutes, and there are plenty of small restaurants nearby; the staff is very friendly and the room is quite quiet; the bedding is very comfortable; the €8 breakfast is quite reasonable, I highly recommend it

Between two business trips, I found a room in this hotel where the staff were professional and helpful. In fact, even though I arrived after the check-in deadline, they were accommodating and understanding. The hotel is located on a quiet street, the comfort is relatively good, and the cleanliness is also good. The premises are a bit dated, but that's also part of the hotel's charm.

The hotel has a lot going for it. The rooms are comfy and spacious. The bathroom is excellent. The breakfast is very good. The staff is as good as it gets. The bed is huge and comfortable. There is even a coffee pod machine in the room. But there is some downside. The entry stairs are steep. The lift is small. The TV is ordinary with no English language news. Location, location! Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast, continental style, was filling but ordinary. I find the location of this hotel is a big draw, as close to trams, most tourist destinations (eg, cathedral, museums, station, historic areas, river) but is on a quieter road.

Great Stay Great location. Ancient building but updated decor which is lovely. I included the breakfast option which is similar to those i have had in Germany with sliced meats, cheeses, fruit variety, juices along with sliced baguettes small croissants, jam and butter. Manager friendly, professional, and very helpful. He gave us a map of the city and encircled old town for dining. Our room was clean and comfy, with a fan extra pillows and blankets in the closet. Our room 24 overlooked the Opera House. Very convenient and quiet!

The room is fine and the bed is comfortable. The Terrance included in the room is a shared one with other rooms and all you can see is the freeway/road. Not much of anything. There are bugs flying into the room at night when the light is on with windows opened.

A nice hotel but…. Although a nice adequate room and the hotel beautifully placed next to the bridge over the river after a long day on the bike the noise levels around the property were very loud with what appeared to be boy racers speeding over the bridge all through the night ( not the hotels fault)

Well It's not always about a star review as it's a price that is priceless with the basic room as rustic and authentic. The importance of an individual owner working hard to give what he has to offer and this is 5 star. The corporate hotels can never match this service we have recieved and the views from the room were so out of this world. I have always passed on route to the south and never stayed...

For a two star hotel very good, no bad comments. The room was very clean. slept there for 2 nights, we didnt have breakfast but that was an option.

The location is around 20 min by tram. It’s not bad because we are far from the noise in the city. The staff were very friendly. The amenities could have been better. We didn’t have shampoo. Only 1 soap in the bathroom. The bathroom itself is spacious which was great! The bed is smaller than expected. Overall not bad

Great hotel with clean rooms & wonderful restaurant serving good breakfast and tasty pizzas. Parking in the adjacent street or nearby shop. Tram line 3 right outside to reach the centre in 15 minutes (free at the weekend). A couple of other restaurants & shops nearby. The vibe of the hotel is brilliant, as are the staff & signage.

The room was super clean. For a short stay or just needing a place to sleep, it's a great deal. The welcome was impeccable, and everything was perfect. I'm satisfied with this stay!

Very nice hotel, a setting that's a change from the ordinary. Our room was perfectly adequate. The only major drawback: the heat in the room. A simple table fan. We had to place the fan next to us on the bed to get some air. A pedestal fan would have been the least we could have put in the room. My night wasn't good at all because of this. The staff was otherwise very pleasant.

The property is located just behind or next to the cathedral with a parking lot which I didn’t need but was convenient for those who did. The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are simple, spotless and cozy. Breakfast is buffet with simple, nutritious and fresh offerings. The coffee? Terrific!

What a gem of a hotel. Came here during winter, so the room is not too hot with the window open even though the room comes with a radiator. This hotel is terrible!!! Not only is there no elevator, but the room also has no Wi-Fi and no cell phone signal!!! There are two branches of this hotel; we checked into the other one, which has an elevator and is a bit better.

Excellent accommodation for those wishing to visit the city and castles without using a car. The welcome was outstanding and the service impeccable (delicious breakfasts, detailed information on the history of the area, tips for outings in town, etc.). It’s certainly an experience and one you should try - unless the idea of sleeping in a pitch black cave, underground with no windows or light puts you off!! Both unusual and disconcerting, sleeping in a cave is above all calming. The place opens onto a pretty garden on the banks of the Loire, a stone's throw from the town center of Amboise and its castles. I thank our hosts, welcoming and discreet, and the services offered, such as breakfast served directly in the loft and the massage service, very appreciated after a good day of walking. I recommend!

We went to celebrate our pre-Valentine's Day😀 in the loft which is cozy romantic far from the other rooms, perfect as we wanted. This is not a regular hotel. It's an experience. And a fantastic experience at that. The idea of sleeping in a very old cave with little ventilation, no natural light and high humidity might not sound appealing to all but we definitely enjoyed it.
