Hotel Chateau Iveri in Gorboneti

My husband and I enjoyed the most magical stay at Chateau Iveri. The mountain location is truly spectacular. We could gaze at the amazing views for hours! The hotel itself is lovely too. Beautiful, comfortable and tastefully decorated bedrooms (ours had a spa bath overlooking the mountains) and a cosy lounge/dining room with terrace for the summer and open fire for colder evenings. The home-cooked food was all delicious. We enjoyed a khinkali-making masterclass and a wine tasting with the very kind owner, who told us about wine-making in the region and future plans for the Chateau. The hospitality and standard of service from all the staff was exceptional. We were warmly welcomed as members of the family and nothing was too much trouble! In short, it was the most wonderful and relaxing stay, and I cannot recommend Chateau Iveri highly enough.

Everything about this hotel is great. The views, the room, the nice service. Everything is clean and feels new (the hotel is 4 years old) The tasty restaurant serves local Adjaran and Georgian dishes. All freshly cooked. We eat 3 large meals, shared the food for tasting and still did not get to try half of the menu.
We loved the panoramic room.

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. Beautiful place with awesome views! The staff was very friendly . We came all the way from Canada and loved this place. Highly recommended and we hope to come here again. Thank you to everyone at Chateau Iveri.

A lucky coincidence brought me here. An extremely well-kept property with a winery, restaurant and hotel. I ate an excellent beef stew, the meat was extremely tender, slightly spicy, just the way I like it. Everyone here is very friendly and accommodating and speaks English and even a little German. I take a few bottles of red wine with me.

Nestled deep in the main Adjaran valley, this is an outstanding hotel, with levels of gastronomy, service and general sophistication significantly above average for the region. Ivari, his family and staff run a well-organised and attractive outfit and were very helpful to us not only during the stay, but also in helping to organise onward transport over the Godzeri pass. Particular strong points of the hotel include the food, the attractive restaurant and terrace, and of course the wine. Views across the valley are mesmerising, even if some of the noise from the quarrying activity below can detract during the day from an otherwise serene location. Overall though, this remains an extremely charming and restful place, and is perfect for travellers seeking something more refined than the typical local guesthouse or hotel offer. Rooms are smart, and the more expensive rooms are absolutely palatial. All in all, a fabulous hotel, thank you.
