Everything about the room was great, from the view to the facilities. However, the owner only speaks Georgian, which made communication a bit difficult. On the way to the hotel, there's a cattle pen with a very aggressive white dog that barks furiously whenever it hears people. The fence is also quite low, so I was constantly worried the dog might jump over it. It was truly terrifying! The owner should really talk to the neighbors about raising the fence to keep the dog contained.

A lovely place at the end of Kazbegi village. Beautiful both front and back mountain scenery. Calm and quiet. Easy 5 minutes walk to minivan station. Along the way there are a few supermarkets. Can clearly see the Gergeti Trinity Church from the accomodation. It is literally right in front.

best hotel ever in kazbegi, the family run the hotel, every of them was helpful and kind. They offer the most assists to us when we were stucked in kazbegi due to very bad weather

Stayed at Axien Hotel for a short day stay and it was suitable for a one day visit in Kazbegi.
The room was simple and basic, not fancy, but fine for a short stay. The balcony door had a small issue, which the owner said will be fixed for our next stay. No complimentary water bottles, so bring your own. The owner was very kind and helpful. Overall, a decent option for a short stay.

This was the first guesthouse I chose in Kazbekistan. The location was actually quite good; it was very close to the minibus station and other public transportation hubs, about a 10-minute walk. There was also a market nearby, seemingly unremarkable from the outside, perched on a high platform. Many tourists bought food and water there because there weren't many restaurants, making it difficult to choose. The main advantage was the location. Lying in bed watching the sky slowly turn red and rise was incredibly pleasant.

This place didn't have an elevator, and the soundproofing was terrible. With guests checking in at night and early risers in the morning, you could hear a lot of noise, waking me up. You can't expect too much from a guesthouse.

This hotel is truly a gem! The rooms are much larger than I imagined, and they face the snow-capped mountains and the church. Enjoying the breeze and the view from the balcony was pure bliss!

The hotel has its own private courtyard, and the location feels like it's in a small town, surrounded by many restaurants and shops, all within walking distance.

The location is great, parking is convenient, the scenery is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the owner is very friendly. It's a great place and worth recommending. It's very convenient to go up the mountain if you have your own car!

The hotel, converted from a self-built house in the countryside, wasn't managed by particularly friendly elderly people. The bathrooms were truly awful; the shower stalls had no doors, so even when you were careful, the floor would still be soaked. It rained those few days, and the children insisted on going hiking, but I was afraid of the cold and didn't go with them. Besides the village, there was only one supermarket and a few fruit and vegetable shops nearby.

It's a 5-10 minute walk from the station. I dragged my suitcase there, and although I was tired, I made it. The guesthouse owner doesn't speak English, but he's very kind and simple. The rooms are comparable to other guesthouses, and the view from the window is incredibly soothing.
