Mariali Hotel in Tbilisi

This place has a very unusual style of management. There are two staff members at the reception, along with a manager who is very young (around 17 years old) and seems unfamiliar with basic professional norms. She has a rather uncomfortable way of asking for payment, creating the impression that guests might otherwise run off without paying.

Beyond that, I requested an extension of my stay. The staff initially confirmed it, but the next day I was told I had to leave because someone else had booked my room. They blamed me for not paying in advance, even though I was specifically told by the staff to pay later.

The beds are made of wire springs, making them quite uncomfortable to sleep on. The location is also right next to a construction site, which adds to the noise and disruption. The only positive aspect is the kitchen, which is why I wanted to stay longer—as I cook daily.

Where to start... the walls are made of single layer drywall; you can hear every step, movement and conversation from the neighbours!!! This is no exaggeration!! The rooms were extremely small with only a tiny window next to the door. The bed was horrible to sleep on; laying on the floor would probably have been more comfortable. The tiles near the bathroom door were badly cut and left unfinished; easy to damage your cloths or skin. The shower was leaking; flooding the bathroom. They were doing construction work till about 2 at night... giving us no rest. We had to leave early so we could not take a breakfast; even though we mentioned, price was not adjusted for that.

It was cheap but for the same price you can sleep in a real hotel in the same street.

The owner clearly only has maximum profit on his mind instead of providing a service.
