Plesant suprise. We booked the hotel appartment as it was only a 2 minute walk to the Messe Essen. When pruce for taxinor train is calculated into the total cost of being further away from the Messe the appartment really becomes a very good option.
Appartment was spacious. We got an appartment on the 5th floor with a privat balcony. Very clean and neat and you can bearly hear any traffic nor other guesta.
Only two things, minor, we felt cpuld be better. In the appartment there are only cutlery for two people, hence you have to clean it after every use. There is s dishwasher but it makes no sense using it for two knives, two forks and two dishes.
The other was the breakfast at EUR 14 pp. but was really few things tonchoose from and no toaster.
Staff was fantastic, polite and helpfull.
I will for sure stay here again next year.

Absolute Gem! Mintrop's Concierge exceeded all expectations. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
From the moment I stepped in, I felt right at home. This contemporary apartment hotel is impeccably clean and meticulously maintained. My XS apartment was perfectly equipped with a kitchenette featuring a dishwasher, 2-burner electric stove, microwave, fridge, and all the essentials for cooking and snacking.
But what truly sets Mintrop's apart is the incredible team. Their warm welcome and friendly service made me feel valued throughout my stay.

The location is unbeatable! Just steps away from the U11 subway, connecting you effortlessly to Rüttenscheid, the city centre, and Essen's main „attractions“ like Messe Essen, Gruga Park, and the concert arena.
Highly recommend Mintrop's Concierge for business travelers, event attendees, or anyone seeking a comfortable and stylish stay in Essen. I can't wait to return!

The rooms (at least the suites) are big and have all necessary amenities like a kettle, fridge, tresor, tv and balcony. The location is ideal if you are traveling by public transportation and have business on the Gruga Location/ Messe Essen. The only negative is, that there are some but not a lot of parking spaces that belong to the hotel.

The hotel is a short metro ride away from essen. Unfortunately this stops at 23.00hrs so its a taxi or walk 45 minutes to get back.
The area has good facilities with several pubs and restaurants within walking distance. The staff at the hotel are brilliant and room we had was ideal for our needs. Clean and tidy with a small kitchen area and a balcony. Excellent value for money.

Very nice and clean hotel. Room got pretty due to the heat which only downside.

Love the location and the people at the front desk. The rooms are really well laid out and spacious.
The probelm we faced was that it was way too hot. The bedding was not breathable. The windows opened for nice breeze but because it was by the road and also this carnival, it was too noisy to sleep. So we were extremely unrested during out stay.
