It was clean, renovated, and dog-friendly. The location wasn't ideal for dogs, but that's typical for centrally located places.

We booked a last minute room to attend Spiel Messe. We came with our small child. I called and requested a crib in the room. We arrived early on the day of check in. We planned to leave our luggage, but they room was ready! We got in and the crib was already there. And the room was big. Perfect for our small family. The breakfast was excellent. They provided a high chair for my our child. Lots of variety and it tasted fresh. The warm food, was warm! Will definitely recommend to friends for next time.

Hotel was fine. Very conveniemt just across from main Essen station. Bit dated and the area surrounding it isn't great but staff very friendly and helpful. Main shopping area is just a few yards away

Young girl in Reception was very busy for self, but not with customers. It was my first and last time in this hotel! Attitude of staff was not correct.

Stayed here on 5 & 6 oct 2024. single room. Room was cold for me and the heating is central. apparently it can't be individually controlled in the room according to the male staff i spoke with after midnight of 6 oct when he came to check if my heater is spoilt. He was rude and asked why i didn't raise the issue on the first night when i stayed. Telephone line was also spoilt so have to use my mobile to call reception.

It's easy to find near the train station. The environment is very good, clean, tidy, quiet and comfortable. I am very satisfied and will book again next time.

Excellent value. The room was comfortable and very clean. Good bed and shower. The location of the hotel is perfect, short walking distance from the Essen Hbf and close to a parking garage (ask the reception for discount).

Regularly stay at this hotel, it has a great location in the center of Essen
This time a large room (133) with a separate sleeping area, but unfortunately not dust-free.
Another recurring negative point remains that not everything is replenished in time during the (large) breakfast!
