TOP EMBRACE Hotel Franz Essen in Essen

Warning: do not stay here if you want to have a good sleep. Was treated very badly by the front of house staff and the manager point blank refused to speak to me at all. The staff decided to rearrange the whole hotel for incoming guests which meant that I was unable to sleep. Upon complaining they said that I should be up because it was 9am.
Explaining that I paid to sleep they said that it’s not their problem and refused to do anything about it. I asked if the doors could be not slammed repeatedly they responded by saying that this is so that ‘disabled children don’t burn to death,’ which I thought was bemusing and extreme. I asked if they could move me to another part of the hotel and they said no. I then asked if they could do it more quietly or a bit later and they refused and said that I must leave the hotel now for not being rude but being unfriendly. I was amazed at this kind of treatment to their guest. They refused to offer any refund for not being able to sleep. Avoid this hotel.
