Expectations were exceeded during our 4 night stay. Staff were friendly and professional at breakfast and dinner. Room (114) was very spacious although windows/balcony face the main road and without a/c in the room, it was occasionally noisy at night. Shower was powerful and shower-room was spacious. Dinner offered a wide range of tasty and we-cooked food with good wine selection. Breakfast choices were typical and copious quantities available.

Everything was great. We purchased breakfast and it was very good. We walked to dining ootions since their restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays.. Staff was friendly too.

My “go to” hotel in Freiburg I’m Breisgau. Rather than stay in the city center, this family run hotel has the charm and quiet you need. Ample off street parking and a brief walk to the local tram (line 1) and bus connections. Good restaurant and fast wifi/internet.

Very clean and quiet hotel with modern and spacious rooms, nice balconies and private parking in a nice village. We were three in the family plus a dog and they catered very well for us all. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond to help: we arrived late but the lady in the reception even stayed after closing time to welcome us and let us in, even though we had already been advised of a key box outside. Made us feel extra welcome! The restaurant was closed (Sunday night) but breakfast was delicious. I will definitely stay at this hotel again if I am in the area.

The selection for breakfast was a bit slim and the fruit salad tasted like it was from the previous day.

One our first night in this hotel we were kept awake until 4am by noise from a wedding party. The level of noise was excessive and the time it ended was unacceptable. Hotel management should have kept it more under control. The hotel web site describes this place as "tranquil" and promotes it as a place to relax!!! We checked out the next morning and found another hotel.

Affordable and comfortable hotel within easy access of Freiburg's network of trams. A short walk and tram ride to the center of town. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We only stayed at Bierhäusle for one night on our way back home from Italy. The hotel and rooms are up to good standards. Spacious and very clean rooms. The hotel and its staff show warm and personal German hospitality all over. Very kind people and a great breakfast in the morning. We unfortunately arrived too late for dinner, but that looked great too. Too bad we couldn't stay longer to enjoy the hospitality and explore the Black Forest further. We will definitely do so next time.
