This hostel is in a wonderful location close to the main sightseeing area, and also within walking distance from the central station (about 20 min). The room was basic, with solid bunk beds and sinks inside. The staff members were friendly. The facilities were clean, and the breakfast buffet (included in the price), was amazing, with fresh fruits on top of the usual bread, yogurts, cold cuts, cereals, etc. There were even homemade spreads. I also like the clientele at this hostel - many local families were staying on the weekend. The only minus is that wifi only worked in the reception and breakfast area, but not in the rooms. Also, there were no sockets next to the bed and not enough sockets for the number of beds in the room. However, the nice breakfast and the relaxing atmosphere made up for it.

Very friendly hosts and guests. They have strict rules and they are also enforcing them which makes it comfortable for all guests as everybody is treated equally. Simple and Good Breakfast as well as clean toilets and showers (sometimes there could be more of it). The beds are comfortable and the 4 people Rooms are large enough for everyone to get dressed. There are parking slots but we didn't get one so we had to walk quite a while every evening, so that may be a down side, otherwise we had no complaints about this lovely hostel.

Great place to spend the night while travelling. Nice town. Rooms are good, great beds, good breakfast. You can park your car at the hostel if you book a parking space in advance.

The hostel has potential as it has all the facilities but - it is over priced compared to other hostels in Germany and has ZERO atmosphere.
On top of that, it costs 32.20 Euro a night instead of the advertised 28.70 on Hostelworld. Hidden costs are never fun for travellers and tourists.
It also explicitly says towels are included on the website. But they are not. You have to pay extra. I even pointed this out to the receptionist but she refused to give me one. Terrible service really. What would it really hurt to just give me a towel so I can shower? Especially when I'm paying 32 Euro a night for a dormitory.
The hostels dorms are empty as well (and they have many) - yet they choose to put the one other backpacker in the same room as me. I guess it saves on cleaning for them but it's just one example of many illustrating that they have zero clue on how to run a good hostel and are just plain lazy.
To top it off, the staff didn't have a clue about the main tourist attraction in the region Neuschwanstein Castle - or how to book or get there. You think a basic knowledge of this would be a minium requirement for working there considering it's one of the top destinations in Europe.
No wonder the hostel is empty when the rest of the region is booked solid.
Ultimately, this place could be a goldmine for the owner but is poorly run and not a nice place to stay.

Staff was very friendly and helpful but the place was so noisy. Even though signs are up asking people to keep quiet after 22.00 there was no control and at 01.30 I thought that a heard of buffalo had been chased through the corridor. The design of the doors make it so that they bang instead of closing slowly and silently.
Breakfast was okay with a nice choice for vegetarians and gluten free bread as well as a good selection of teas, coffee and some sort of mixed cherry and orange drinks.
The room was clean with a reading light for each bed. The bathrooms were clean too but no soap in the ladies toilet.
The wifi only worked in hotspots in the hostel and not in the room.
Budget accommodation more suitable for night owls and insomniacs than early risers.

I stayed in the hostel for one night with my family. It was a very pleasant experience. Staff is very nice and gives all the information before you even ask, everything is very clean and the "system" is excellent.
Everything you need from a hostel! So I recommend it to everyone who needs to stay in the area.
Just lacks some "added value treats" to get a full five star from me :)

Location is Good, very near to the Center. The Reception work from 6 am to 12 pm. There is alcohol prohibit, Smoking outside the House. No Soup or Towel are provided.
