2 night-stay, first time at the venue, family with a 3 year-old and a 4 month-old baby. Our general impression was: extremely friendly staff, the food at all times was great, Kids-Club staff was very sweet and patient with our shy 3-year-old (who even chose to be with them for lunch time), the entire facility is VERY well taken care to the detail. Every request of ours (we needed a smaller cot than the one prepared before check-in, bedroom was too warm for us at the first night) was heard and fulfilled with a friendly, seemingly genuine smile. They met our expectations and we'll definitely recommend it.

Second experience and for second time really great one.
Very nice and well equiped hotel in Bavaria.
Very good cuisine, friendly staff.
Only difficulties we had was to catch waiter for drink order during the dinner.

Great location and lots to do for a family with kids! Indoor and outdoor playgrounds, swimming, great gym, hiking trails just outside of the hotel.

For the price paid (620EUR per night) food could be much better, like make yourself full and go. Selection of the food quite limited. Little choice of fresh fruit, salads, hot meals. Nothing extraordinary.

The sauna was cold at 7 p.m., although it was stated to be open.

Soundisolation is not good, could here kids crying like next door.

Great food, especially in our coffee breaks with delicious brain food! The breakfast and dinner offer was also nicely diverse and everyone's taste were fullfilled. The meeting room facilities were very handy and everything was on point.

We had a wonderful weekend in the mountains as a family of 4. Our kids loved the KidsClub, the care givers were super sweet and friendly, and offered colouring and crafts that kept our kids entertained while my husband went to the gym and I went on a quick hike. Food selection was great, even a selection of gluten-free bread at the buffet.

Truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is beautiful with many outdoor activities nearby. The mountain view from our suite was extraordinary. We enjoyed the variety of delicious food and beverages included with the all-inclusive package. I especially liked the access to coffee machines all day, including the frothed milk available for my daughter. The service at breakfast/dinner was attentive and the kitchen staff very friendly. Lunch was adequate and the afternoon coffee/cake was reasonable. The bar had very good drinks, although pricier than most Bavarian places. My young daughter loved the Kids’ Club activities and the pool area. My family enjoyed our holiday time at this hotel. However, there are a few things I would like to see: 1. More books and complete game sets in the lobby. Most books were torn/old and many games were missing pieces. 2. Towels were thinner than most comparable places. 3. Although soaps were available in the shower and wash basin, no other amenities were in place. For example, there was no body lotion, toothpaste, etc. 4. The pillows were not really to my liking. I solve that by bringing my own. 5. The parting gift for my daughter was a little disappointing compared to other Familotel locations. She chose a small plastic bottle of soap bubbles. 6. We received a coloring/sticker book when we checked in to be filled in as we completed tasks in the hotel and around the village. However, at checkout, no one bothered to look at how many tasks my daughter completed in her book. She was a little disappointed when we left as a result. 7. I was also disappointed no one bothered to call me by my name anywhere in the hotel for our entire stay, or even learn my daughters name. We had the same servers most of our stay and same Kids Club staff but nowhere did any staff member try make it more personal. 8. The curtains in our room were not lengthy enough to block out all light- but that’s just a matter of personal preference. Regardless of my list of grievances, this hotel and location provided for a unforgettable holiday for my daughter. She loved every moment and that’s why we came here to this familotel location.

My family visited Das Bayrischzell Familotel for 5 nights during fall school holidays. We enjoyed our stay - there were a good number of activities for children and families alike, with a lot of flexibility for how we spent our day. The hotel and its programming were clearly designed by people who understand the needs of kids and parents, and who built the options around a low-stress holiday for the entire family. For example -- our children had the option to choose between full participation in programming (with supervision / facilitation), self-guided exploration and play but in a child-friendly environment, outdoor activities (bikes, trampolines, etc.), or spending time with us. Both children reported that they had fun during the trip and have asked when we will go back!

My wife and I also enjoyed our time -- the scheduling was constant but the activities themselves were varied. The duration of family activities was mostly appropriate for young attention spans. While we are always careful to keep our expectations low for the food offerings - especially buffet-style - we found the food here to be quite good. The menus consistently reflected the resort's focus on wellbeing, with lots of plant-based options, all of which seemed appropriately seasoned (i.e. not too much salt, as is often the case with such setups). The food was also well-prepared, and seemed to have been both designed and prepared by well-trained chefs. We never found ourselves feeling like we were sacrificing quality or flavor for "healthy" food, and instead commented pretty frequently on how surprised we were with the quality of the food offering.

Thank you - and congratulations - to the staff of Das Bayrischzell Familotel. Our kids are tough customers, and they're already bugging us to go back. We were quite happy with our experience, and would recommend this resort.

Great Location Good location, although the place is so small that all is well located. Value for money is excellent. Breakfast and dinner buffet are sufficient and solid. The staff is very nice and helpful.
Our room was large enough for two people, although the TV was right at the foot of the bed and therefore far too close. It could have been placed on the wall opposite.
Overall, although it is a family hotel, it is very harmonious. It may be that it is much busier in July and August but for the end of September it was very pleasant.
