Courtyard Munich Garching in Garching

I wish they'd think about their operations. The service and facilities are not worth the price. Really Courtyard Marriott.

I stayed at this hotel for a week and had a very frustrating experience on the second day. The TV remote control didn't work – presumably because the batteries were dead. I called the front desk and asked for a new battery to be brought to my room. The answer was: "No, that's not possible, the technology is down. You can pick one up from reception."

When I explained that I was already in bed and asked if it was really not possible to bring the battery to my room, I was brusquely told that this wasn't possible and that I should go to reception myself.

But this wasn't just a one-time problem: The next day – and the next day – and the day after that – the remote control didn't work. Even when the technology was supposedly up again, no one bothered to repair or even test the remote.

The management contacted me and apologized, but nothing happened. At the same time, management told me „that the hotel doesn't offer room service“.

The message the hotel is sending to its customers is: „Thank you for your complaint; we do not care about it though…"

I've never encountered such customer-unfriendly and arrogant behavior in any hotel. Apparently, it's too much to ask a guest to provide a working remote control—let alone address a reported problem. Greetings from the service desert of Germany.

I will definitely never book this hotel again and can only advise against it to anyone who values ​​a minimum level of customer service.
