In the lobby, it took a 10-minute wait to get a table for a meeting at lunchtime. The table had to be cleared first, and then it took another 10 minutes before we could speak to a member of staff for the order.
The same situation occurred in the evening.
Otherwise, the service in the other areas is very good, and the rooms are also good.
What really affected my stay, however, was the constant issue with the key cards. Almost every day during my week-long stay, I had to return to reception three or four times to have the cards reactivated. It became tiring and frustrating, especially when returning to the room late or after training sessions.
The gym could benefit from being larger and better equipped for a hotel of this calibre. The sauna experience was also disappointing, it didn’t feel properly heated or up to standard, which was unfortunate as I enjoy using the sauna regularly.
On a positive note, the location is excellent, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, making it very convenient. However, late-night food options within the hotel are quite limited, which is another area that could be improved.
Overall, while the hotel has strong points in comfort and location, the repeated key card issues, small gym, underwhelming sauna, and lack of late-night dining options made the stay more frustrating than it should have been.
