Lulu Guldsmeden in Berlin

A super-atmospheric hotel near the center of Berlin's Mitte district. Our room (two adults and three adult children) was the perfect size and beautifully decorated. The service was excellent, and the hotel staff helped create a cozy atmosphere. This was especially noticeable in the evenings, when a significant number of guests were enjoying themselves in the café. Next time we visit, we'll definitely rent bicycles from the hotel and see Berlin like this. See you soon!

We stayed there with our whole family and our son. The first night, we got a room with a smaller bed so we all slept in the same bed. But we could change rooms the next day. Our son really loved the swing in the room and his bed upstairs. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is simply beautifully furnished. You feel right at home.

We (two adults and two children) just spent five wonderful days at Lulu. The kids loved their own "room" in the cozy loft, and otherwise we relaxed in the hotel's atmospheric setting, with plenty of opportunities to play various games or chat with other guests—or with the very friendly hotel staff. The hotel is really conveniently located for getting around Berlin—either by metro/bus or by the very popular cargo bikes and regular bicycles, which we recommend booking as soon as you arrive. This definitely won't be our last stay at Lulu, as it's a great alternative to many of Berlin's noisier standard hotels.

Location top. Calm atmosphere. Rooms are tastefully decorated (Indonesian). Value is super. Hotel was clean. Noise level was quiet except occasionally children. Service was top. Amenities were all there and extra. We had a lovely 4 days in the hotel and will gladly stay there again next time we are in Berlin.

The hotel is really cosy with a location that puts you just a perfect bit away from the very centre but still very close to both old east and west. Good communications. Only drawback is the breakfast buffet that feels a little pricey, especially if you don't eat that much. It is the kind of place you look forward to returning to after a day in the city. The rooms are really sweet. Been there two times and we always check availability before booking elsewhere.

Another nice visit to Lulu Guldsmeden in connection with the Berlin half marathon. Good atmosphere and location in a hotell in its own style. Small rooms, nice staff, quick service. Very clean. Good value. Good and wide breakfast. We will come here again next year!

I stayed at this hotel with my mum on our annual Christmas market trip. The hotel is in a good location near Potsdamer Platz and has excellent transport links. The bus stop is directly outside the hotel, and they are reliable and frequent. We stayed on the second floor and had a double four-poster bed. The room itself was small, but the bathroom was a good size. There was a tv in the room, but we didn't use it partly because it was located behind one of the bed posts. This wasn't an issue, though, as we only used the room to sleep. The room has ame ties such as toothbrushes, room spray, shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash. There was a safe in the room. Although there is a lift, you still need to climb. Some stairs as the lift stops in between floors due to the stairs layout. Breakfast was included and consisted of hot and cold items, such as bacon, eggs, bread, cereal, cold meats, cheese, etc. We did have drinks at the bar one night, we had cocktails, but they were extremely strong! 🤪 Overall we had a great stay and I would have no hesitation staying here in the future. The staff were friendly and helpful and they kept the place clean and tidy.

Great hotel. The rooms are cozy and just the right amount of quirky. Staff is incredibly helpful and lovely. Breakfast is good and the overall ambiance of the place is fantastic. Not to mention that the pricing of the rooms is very fair This was my second stay and I will be back next time I’m in Berlin.

Eco-friendly, nice rooms, nice staff, good breakfast, nice interior, quiet hotel. Only negative was bad lightning in the room.

Room looked very nice. Everything was there as needed. Heater didn't work well in late November. Organization of the hotel meant you had to pass through several doors. Reception staff was great. Restaurant food was great.
